João 𝗦𝘃𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗺, is a multi instrumentalist, music producer and yoga student / teacher. Connected with the term singer-songwriter but also diverse genres, such as music for meditation, electronic, trip-hop, ambient, free form music, and others.
Lover of nature, passionate world observer, into spiritual questioning and meditation practices.

 Music is one of multiple ways of living fully, being whole and complete, immersed on the vastness of the world. At each music note we can redeem something more from our essence, spread it, echo it, give, receive and be. Svayam is a moment of meditation guided by sound, and it’s offered as an opportunity to be who we really are, to take from the inside what escapes our instant and automatic sensibility. João Sousa guides this voyage - personal, but collective - with a guitar, voice and bowls.
Each body touched by sound is a moment of unique love,
an inexhaustible source of energy. To create with sound is to open doors to the earth, to touch the water, feel the air and transform with fire… For a moment we understand the act of creation, we are that moment, undulating in the ethereal, taking off from matter. Each time Svayam happens, we connect profoundly with humankind, with life, with the cosmos. Let us be all and nothing, here and now, everyone and none.
