The daughter of a submariner, with a childhood that spanned across the US, Europe, and Asia, Joni is well acquainted with wild upheaval. But one recent year in particular, she stood markedly alone. Feeling disillusioned with the sameness of Los Angeles, she moved to London in search of shifting seasons and new inspiration. By the autumn, the decade-long relationship with her romantic partner, bandmate, and closest musical collaborator destructively ended. In the winter she turned 30. Heartbroken in a foreign country, her life felt untethered and unfamiliar; she contemplated leaving London altogether. But something told her to stay. And with the arrival of spring, new songs began to grow from a garden of grief. 

Joni has toured with artists like Laura Veirs, Aqualung, Dan Croll, and Old Sea Brigade. She's written songs for some of the biggest names in pop music, she has an RIAA-certified platinum record and has been featured in movies and TV shows like Netflix’s Never Have I Ever. Joni’s songwriting centers on seismic heartbreak, the trauma of great loss, and the poignant lessons gleaned in the aftermath. Songs flutter between dark and light. Indie-rock influences like Sparklehorse, The Strokes and Jon Brion take a feminine lilt with her wistful vocals and pop sensibility à la Clairo, Beabadoobee and Feist.

Born on July 21st, 1992, his young age never stopped him from taking the lead amongst the next generation of electronic dance music’s finest producers.
