Liking this and all the surprises, very good! Makes us think of "Invisible Sun" by The Police, at least a little. You might enjoy two of our Archive bands perhaps, Critical Error and Prism. ;-)

Started off as a two-part acoustic guitar and vocal 'duet'... added some drums using Maschine and then bulked out the guitar parts with acoustic and electric overdubs for a total of ten separate guitar tracks. 5 vocal tracks: main vocal and harmony part both double-tracked, and a 'percussion' vocal track; the rest is synth instruments using Kontakt (Native Instruments): piano, Rhodes MkII (bass) and cello. 

Cover photo: Originally I used a pic I had pinched off the internet of a "Japanese street scene', but removed it as I didn't want to risk a copyright infringement. So imagine my surprise and disbelief when I turned a corner while walking through the backstreets of Harajuku when I found the EXACT spot from which that picture was taken. Hence, this photo is a selfie of me at that exact spot.

Hi, I'm Chris and I am a research scientist by day and a songwriter in my spare time. I joined SC in 2013 and I mainly record acoustic guitar and vocal harmonies, but also like playing electric guitar, bass, keyboards and using drum loops.

My musical influences include Syd Barrett, Neil Young, Peter Gabriel and Paul Simon, and increasingly fellow SoundClouders; My favourite bands include Yes, Supertramp, Pink Floyd, Rush and Steely Dan, and I also listen a lot to The Beatles, Elton John, The Who, Van Morrison, Genesis, King Crimson,  Jethro Tull, Sparks, Stevie Wonder, The Grateful Dead to name but a few...
