Where Are You Now? - Debra Buesking (feat. Andy McLean)

This is a song that originated with Steve of Steve's Planet. He came up with a really cool guitar instrumental and the vocals, which he is very passionately singing,  while travelling through the primordial forests of Central Europe and shared it with all of us. I added the bass and the electric piano. Tez (Llanpsych) added the really cool guitar parts that sound like orchestral violins. Ken (K2 and the Three, and K2 and the Four) added the perfectly complimentary rolling drums. Stephen (TexMex Shaman) added the awesome, trippy sitar and pulled the whole thing together as an expert producer and mixer. Tez also mastered it. Hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we did making it.

Green Fruit

This is a bit of an excursion from my more contemporary fusion and sound-track material. Touching on an well known classic jazz-blues swing tune written  and originally performed by the great jazz pianist Thelonius Monk. Countless versions and renditions of this fun swinging tune have been done in the past, many by some of the world's great musicians. 
This is just me, with the addition of some wonderful saxophone work played by Georg Boehme (as soloist and multi-horn band).

[OUT NOW]25th Oct 2023 Compilation EP Jadyss Vol,3 for Promotion

Hey…. I am sitting inside now, it is snowing, and quite cold for October. I noticed deer tracks in the snow and what looks like a gathering around the crab apple trees, as the deer munched down on apples. Later, I picked a bunch of apples from the higher branches and cleared off the foot of snow on the ground then piled up some apples for all who wants them. About 3 weeks ago, I went outside late at night to close up the garage. I had a strange feeling that there might be a bear in the yard. No sounds or sighting, just an intense hunch. The next day I went out to do some gardening and on the way back to the garden I spotted a huge pile of bear scat behind the spruce trees. It was full of half digested apples, a telltale sign of late season bear scat. That was a first. For me anyway. And maybe for the bear too. It reminded me of when I was a boy and a large group of us were camping in the wilderness. The dads told us to be careful about leaving food out. There was a heavy ‘bear box’ at the campsite where we stored the food. So what did us kids do? We threw a bunch of leftovers into the woods. Shortly thereafter we were visited by 3 bears. One dad, a huge man nicknamed Spike, confronted and chased the bears off. He was bigger than the bears and had a way worse growl. Then us kids got a good chewing out, and found ourselves on supervised cleanup duty, like a chain gang, getting all the food out of the woods. We deserved it, but were happy to see those bears. Anyway, I noticed the bear had eaten almost all the apples from under the trees. The bear was probably super happy to find all those apples. I was glad to help the bear get ready for winter and hibernation. The process of bears eating as much as they can before hibernation is called hyperphagia. I wish I could sleep all winter too, and wake up in the Spring. Anyway, this is a slide guitar Blues. I sing with a vocal personality that fits the song. Lyrics were about an experience of mine around 47 years ago, and from a different perspective of the same experience in an old song of mine called Blackbirds, where I sat under the same willow tree as thousands of migrating blackbirds passed by, at times landing in the willow, then swooping down in thirsty murmurations, to get a drink from the creek. I’d just sit there with blackbirds all around me. And of course both songs are about this particular woman I took a fancy to way back when. That never panned out like I thought it might. WELCOME ALL to my SoundCloud page!

It's always a pleasure to discover through SoundCloud the wealth of wonderfully talented and creative musicians out in the world... all sharing their own distinct and artistic creations.  I'm very happy to be a part of this amazing, creative, and supportive community.

My main instrument is the guitar (mainly electric... sometimes acoustic). I also play on occasion bass and keyboards (strictly for recording on my own compositions).  Most of my music tracks on SC are created, recorded, and produced in my home studio.  Recently, I've been making good use of midi sequencing to ultimately produce tracks that I otherwise would find almost impossible to do by other means. 

Fusion (my mix of jazz, rock, funk, soundtrack, etc.) is the best way to describe most of the music that I produce these days.  I've enjoyed playing and recording many styles/genres of music in the past, and all these past musical experiences influence me today in the way I compose and play.

You will find here on my SC page samplings of new and older works of mine.  The track picture icons more or less help identify what tracks belong to other associated tracks. And I will try to present some extra information for the individual tracks for those that are interested as well.
