I use a lot of tracks that have just been released, but also tracks that have been in my record case for years and are always special to me. We are pleased to present our first episode of Re-Leaf radio with the very talented E-Talking hailing from Berlin, Germany.

E-talking has been one of our favourite artists for a hot minute as he encapsulates what Re-Leaf is about. Creating the perfect balance of old school and new in all of his mixes and productions, we're honoured to him as our first guest. He really brought the heat with this mix full of high energy and carefully curated, spanning across house, progressive and techno.

One half of French duo Nummer alongside long-time friend and partner-in-crime
Silvère Letellier, Emmanuel Corre has recently begun a new chapter in his musical
career under the moniker of E-Talking. Inaugurating that new path, his debut
instalment as E-Talking came through the high-flying Blue Series of London's finest,
AD93.
Released as a split in 2018, “Téléphone Rose” marked a shift from Nummer’s

compositions but no betrayal towards their respective aspirations. A full-fledged left-
of-centre club weapon designed to swash in the club with unrelenting novelty effect,

the track makes for a ravishingly disparate patchwork of Emmanuel’s influences,
from blazing, acid-informed electronics to bassy deconstructionism, via revamped
house and techno tropes.
Emmanuel’s formative years at London’s reputed record store, Kristina Records,
helped him forge the distinctive, all-embracing approach that can be felt through his
sets and material, as made further obvious on his maiden full-length from 2021 for
Going Good, “Techno Man’s Land”.
Mapping his own route at large from normative barricades, the E-Talking project has
been gathering momentum with some choice contributions to the catalogues of
imprints as varied as Early Reflex, Nerv, Nasty Enterprises and Chanoirs. In the
wake of his acclaimed two-year residency on Rinse France and in parallel to regular
appearances on HÖR, Emmanuel’s line of action is just about to reveal in all its
glorious scope and scale, so better keep your ear to the ground.

Pushing on into 2023 with some real purpose and grit, Avenue Red will keep the weekly momentum going strong with weekly releases. We have accumulated quite a backlog of truly delightful DJ mixes that must be discharged from the cannon! Next up after dubtommy's masterful and very well-received downtempo & trip-hop mix, we present a 1-hour session of perfectly chilled, deep, groovy house from Los Angeles-based DJ & producer, Zach DeVincent.

Also known for his trip-hop/downtempo productions as Zak Damundo on his 2017 album on Cold Busted, which was titled 3am, Zach has released his deep house tracks and remixes on a variety of other labels including Superordinate Dub Waves, 5 and Dime Recordings, Looq Records, ITOM, Acryl Music, Open Bar Music, Clear Recordings and Ban-Off Music. Atmospheric Existence with Miles Atmospheric - 21.02.2023

Avenue Red presents a fresh, tasty package of divine deepness from Evening Selection - a duo made of Mateusz Szmigiero and Michał Kramar from the Polish capital city of Warsaw. These guys run an excellent radio show on Radio Kapitał, Warsaw (every 4 weeks on Mondays at 21:00 Warsaw time) and have featured some incredible underground guests including Al Bradley, OHM, Lerosa, Seafoam, Thomas Wood, Andu Simion, Tim Jackiw and Verlake among others. They have their guests rolling the cross-genre phat blunts alongside their own incredible, thoughtfully crafted mixes, having also created some excellent concept shows where the duo take advantage of the full 2 hours themselves. Highly recommended listening, educational, even. Find a flaw in this mix and you may need some help. Deep house & techno perfection, delivered.

"This one's been a long-time coming, as they say... having enjoyed many a mix from Avenue Red's coveted back catalogue we felt like this one has got to be special. Given we dig a fairly wide spectrum of what can be described as 'deep 4/4', it was challenging to keep ourselves focused and squeeze in as many different styles and inspirations into roughly 60-70 minutes... a subconscious tribute of sorts to the mix CD format of yore, perhaps?

What you'll find inside is the fruit of a lot of back-and-forth, heated debates and frantic exchanges regarding what tracks we should go for. We also like to think it's a decent representation of what we're listening to and playing - a bit of dubbed-out soundscapes, a side of breaks, a speck of continental minimal, a hint of the Bristolian vibe, some techy stuff from across the pond, the properly cold sound of 90's techno and last but not least, the deeper shade of house. Thinking about it... you could probably get a much better mix out of all the tracks we rejected (think of all the Drexciyan electro!). Then again, that's a really good reason to record another podcast at some point in the future :-)
