For June's guest mix we have one of the original instigators of our local scene, back for his second mix on our series Amplified. Nick Nonsense needs no introduction our local listeners; from playing at the first raves, to successfully running a long time downtown fixture - record store Revolution Records, to one of the current partners managing events for Classics and Stellar, and that's besides the punk band he also plays in.  Needless to say, if you are in the scene here at all, you probably know or have met Nick Nonsense.

Since a very young age, I've always been in love with music. As soon as I discovered electronic music, I knew it was something I've wanted to do. When I was 13 I got my first tracker, and began to learn the ropes using MTV Music Generator on the Playstation 1, and the rest is history! 

I've produced under a number of aliases and project names over the years, and been graced with support from so many amazing people since first stepping into the music world. My hope to is be able to inspire others to believe in themselves to follow their dreams as well, and  to stick with it!

Former fixture of the Atlantic Canadian electronic music scene now turned bedroom DJ with 25 years of experience as a local pro. While Sean no longer performs his love for electronic music remains unabated but evidence of that can only be found by way of his long running mix series "Chilling Moments" now in its 23rd year.

Having compiled an impressive list of accomplishments throughout the years, Sean has played alongside some of the biggest DJs in the industry including Sasha, Deep Dish, Danny Howells, Sultan, Luke Fair and Steve Porter, just to name a few. He has even had the honour of opening for world class DJs slightly outside of his genre such as Armin Van Buuren, Tiga, Calvin Harris, Ferry Corsten, Kaskade and Darude. In 2011 Sean also provided the winning mix in John Digweed's "Structures Two" mix contest and was featured on John's long running radio show "Transitions". An accomplishment that even the most seasoned of pro DJs aspires to.

With Sean's dedication to his craft, ear for the music along with his storytelling ability, each one of his mixes is sure to be an emotional journey through sound.
