Quite the unique soundcast this week, with a vs set between two heavyweight names in the Aus festival scene. XAPHAN vs AZRIN. 

Matt Azrin's two aliases battle it out in a typical "techno vs psytrance" match. Matt's been at the forefront of the psychedelic scene for quite a few years now. A world renowned DJ who's performed on the big stage across the globe. Whilst featuring at some of Australia's biggest festivals such as Rainbow Serpent, Eclipse Festival, Strawberry Fields etc, He's also the label DJ for Zenon Records and Merkaba Music, blending his distinct style of psygressive, psychedelic trance, psychill and ofcourse, doof techno. 

This set is a 2 hour journey that starts of in Techno Ville before ending up in full on Zenon stomp. Untz levels are peaking, quite fitting for the day that we've just had as Victoria has just endured the biggest earthquake to date. 

Prepare to slap some walls about it.

The thing is, I've been working on this set for a few months, and it's been quite a challenge...and you know me, if it's challenging, I just can't ignore it 🤤so after months of polishing and re-re-re recording, I'm extremely satisfied to finally share with you my recent musical discoveries.  

I was introduced to Dark Disco by my dear friend @djbasilisk and man, I just got hooked, truly fun stuff, a really unique crossover of House and Nu disco with a slice of Goa 🤯

Since discovering the world of genre-defying techno back in late 2015, Techgnosis Records has always been a belvedere of some timeless selections that sparked that fire within and inspired me to become who I am today. Extremely grateful to have formed a brotherhood with the crew over the last couple of years, sharing our universal love of quality progressive, psychedelic techno through both our platforms, Techgnosis Records and SixthSense Australia. From experimenting with vinyl mixing and music production to orchestrating underground events, Jeremy’s passion for electronic music began in Melbourne’s vibrant rave scene in the late '90s.

Axiomatica enjoys playing at private parties, doofs and warehouses. 
Active involvement in organising, setting up, and playing with various crews at festivals and Burns such as Rainbow Serpent, Burning Seed, and Underland have seen him forging new paths within Victoria's bush doof culture, shaping experiences with Freedom Doof, Shadow Alchemy, and Soulah Powah.
