don Enrique is a shipibo curandero from the Amazon Rainforest of Peru.  He works with the sacred medicine, ayahuasca, holding traditional healing ceremonies in which he sings songs called icaros.  Icaros play an important part of the healing process because they are a form of communication between the healer and the spirits of the plants, animals, and ancestors of the jungle.
