It all started with the cassette.. Growing up in the 90's pre-internet era, meant that our ways to get inspired was by the things we observed in the streets, skate shops, record stores, magazines, VHS tapes or the music we heard on the radio. 

Deeply inspired by the US East Coast underground hip hop scene, we started collecting vinyl and doing dubs from the rarely-existing dope DK radio shows.. (thanks to Peder, Knud, Noize, Typhoon & DJ Power for the inspiration!).
Dubbing and compiling the illest joints from the radio to cassette became a weekly rutine.

Piles of mixtapes on cassettes and 20+ internet years later, we now felt like doing a tribute cassette to the sounds that raised us. 

This is actually the 20th Pasteelo Mixtape - What a way to celebrate!

The mixtape mainly contains instrumentals and a few vocal tracks from the 1994-2000 golden era of independent hip hop. Enjoy!

Soul Kid Klik are a New York based crew that was formed by producer/rapper/Jazz musician G-Clef da Mad Komposa in the mid 90's. They were one-time Wu-Tang affiliated being signed to GZA’s imprint but the label folded after a while forcing them to take the independent route.⁠

After dropping ‘Invisible Army” on vinyl back in 2018 we have now compiled 12 more tracks that were originally recorded between 1994-1998. Out of these 12, 9 will be on vinyl for the first time ever (5 solo tracks from Infamous Mr. Savage and 4 from G-Clef) in addition to 3 Goodfella Mike G tracks that appeared on his solo album.⁠

King Of New York album was the second unreleased Pudgee's album, it was never officially released because there were some issues between Pudgee and his label at the time, Finally 20 years later we decided to put it out on vinyl so people can enjoy the vibes.  BUT what is REALLY GOOD about this LP is that there was another Rare Promo tape outhere which contained EXCLUSIVE & DIFFERENT versions of the tracks you knew on the K.O.N.Y album such as Talk Behind Your Back, Thing's Ain't Changed, For My Daughter, etc... YOU GONNA DIG IT !!!! We decided to go straight to the DOPE & Rare tracks to fit it on 1LP  , if you looked for the other tracks, Eps are easy to get and not expensive Needless to mention on that crazy LP  all the producers are Legends :Da Beatminerz, Nick Wiz, S.I.D to name a few. This LP also contains a Barry White's introduction as well, Real Recognize Real, THE BRONX IS IN THE HOUSE ONCE AGAIN, tight and sharped flow on the illest boom bap productions, nice lyrics, cant go wrong with it,  Shit is Lit !
