On April 22nd, Mostra took over Espacio Perpendicular for a few hours.

Mostra is an independent, small-scale festival of avant-garde and experimental electronic music that was born four years ago to nurture the Barcelona scene. Mostra is local, inclusive, and sustainable. An independent festival made in Barcelona for Barcelonans, but with international vision and reach.

The event, which took place during the day, featured performances by Mattikk, Emilia Grima, Pillen, Doozer, Haara, and F-on.

So happy to share the recording from my last set at Open Ground from December 2024. 

It was an emotional journey ~ I wanted to tell a story of diving into underwater dream lands, where spirit guides and glitchy creatures meet and send us messages from the other side... where sound takes over the brain and opens something in the heart and body.
I waved through many genres ~ ambient, jungle, electro, dubstep, drill, jazz, techno and the wonky in-between. It felt like I had the chance to express a fuller spectrum of who I am as a music lover. 🙏

That night, I had the honour of opening for the legend Surgeon ~ someone who’s deeply inspired my path since the very beginning. Sharing that moment with him and connecting was just wow. 🥹

Open Ground truly is one of the most special places on earth ~ the care, the sound, the freedom, the community, the crew… just perfection. 

So grateful to be invited back this saturday ! (26.07.2025)

Next up we have Columbian based DJ, Lopar. Originally from the central mountains of Colombia, Lopar remains in an inexhaustible search and exploration, with the ability to navigate effortlessly through different styles, from ambient, minimal, house, deep, dub to down tempo, dnb, breaks, IDM and more. He is currently NATURAL’s resident DJ, with a trajectory that is strengthened with more than 8 years of experience in which he has had the privilege of sharing booth with artists such as Neel, Polygonia, Blazej Malinowski, Paula Koski, Anthony Linell among others. Lopar carefully elaborates his sets, achieving each time to produce a different and unique soundscape and experience with a great musical instinct; transporting the listener to different spaces and times and transmitting emotions through his music.

1. How and why did you get into producing / dj’ing?
- It all started in 2014, when I was still a raver. I began to feel the need to convey to people the feelings and emotions that great DJs made me feel when I listened to them. I wanted to show the world my vision of electronic music.

2. Who, What/where was your most coziest gig you’ve been to or experienced and why?
- Without a doubt listening to Luigi Tozzi in 2019 at the Freedom Festival (Medellín) was truly an out-of-body experience. From that moment everything changed!

3. Do you consider yourself an introvert or extrovert in the scene?
-I think both hahahaha sometimes I like to be in the quiet of my house, discovering new music and other times I prefer to be surrounded by friends sharing knowledge.

4. If you had to choose 1 track to vibe out too forever, what would it be?
- Caramel Chameleon - Dronacid [phaserinterlude mix] This track for me is a real utopia. It always brings a tear to my eye.

5. What is your routine when preparing for a gig / production/writing session? Do you have any special remedies/ mental/physical prep/ places to go to?
- 5. The days before the concert I’m always looking for new music, I like to be able to bring that touch of authenticity to my sets. The rest is pure improvisation and reading the dance floor.

CoziMix 22 : Lopar

The next episode is a one hour ode to the psychedelic breaks- going into a deep journey through tribal steps, dark dubbed rhythms and meditative drums. @amanita_p digged through her favourite labels to pick some of the finest mental psy-breakers- setting off for a journey in the depth of druid-steps.

Amanita is a Bologna-raised, Berlin-based dj, party organizer and scenographer. Proud mommy of Sinestesie- collective and DIY party series based in Italy, and Carpet Airlines- experimental cosy-dance oor/slow-rythms winter event series in Berlin. 

She hosts Morning Mantra, a monthly radio show on Radio Alhara where she explores the left  eld side of ambient and has fun with the most odd records digged  around.  

Amanita’s sound expands rhizomatically in a progressive & psychedelic galaxy suspended somewhere in between space and forests. With a particular a  ection for trancy rhythms and a pitching-down tendency, her music journeys are full of trippy loops, ritual atmospheres and gender-bender touches.  

Ambient, downtempo and dance  oor are all parts of the same mycelium,  contaminating each other while existing in di  erent dimensions.  She believes dancing is never about the speed of sound, neither listening about the absence of rhythm- but about the soulful depths of music, combined to the alchemic magics of the narrative process.
