I had the immense pleasure of being hosted in the splendid Balearic Brekfast show of the lovely Colleen 'Cosmo' Murphy in November 2024, for the 'Archeo Recordings 10 Year Anniversary', with my mix and a special interview in which I also talked about my musical origins and the scene music in which I grew up, between Florence and Bologna ( https://www.balearicbreakfast.com/post/balearic-breakfast-episode-200-meeting-manu-archeo-archeo-recordings ).
On this occasion I took inspiration to make this mix.
These are some of my favorite songs by my favorite bands from the Italian New Wave / Alternative Rock 80s scene, mainly from Florence and Bologna, my cities: Litfiba, Diaframma, Gaz Nevada, Neon, Confusional Quartet, and again ... Violet Eves, Kirlian Camera and Pankow.
At the beginning of the 80s I was too young to have been to their concerts (I did it later, at the beginning of the 90s for some of these bands) but I still breathed that wonderful air of excitement and innovation and I listened to this music at home from my mother's vinyl collection: 'I was a child and I never stopped discovering beyond the boundaries of reality'.

Seasons greetings! We're closing out 2024 with a selector that perhaps needs no further introduction, but in case you've been living under a rock for the past 15 years, we are extremely excited to present the next Idle Cellars mix by the one and only EDDIE C! Mr. C (NOT THAT ONE) is, in our esteemed opinion, one of the best DJ's in the entire world and we're crazy stoked to have him as the next IC mix for your listening pleasure. Canada-born & Berlin-bred, Eddie has been gallivanting all over the globe as a musical expert in a world of tourists, ready to spread good vibes and his sparkling personality (plus that Canadian politeness we always hear about) to the four corners of the planet. 

His resume is, frankly, ridiculous. As a producer and "editor", Eddie is responsible for countless fantastic releases across disco edit labels like his own RED MOTORBIKE, COMMON EDIT, 7 INCHES OF LOVE, KOLOUR LTD, SLEAZY BEATS, LUMBERJACKS IN HELL and many, many more, plus he's been fully embraced by the Japanese contingent with many releases on MULE sublabel ENDLESS FLIGHT as well as CRUE-L & SOUNDOFSPEED. The man's discography as a producer is as wide as it is deep and he continues to be extremely active with new remixes or originals coming out regularly.

DJ-wise our boy has the chops to be dropped into any situation and rock the party, whether that's at Cafe Del Mar, Panoramabar, the Sunset Campout or dodgy mafia-run nightclubs in deepest Eastern Europe. To put it succinctly, he is...THE MAN. 

We think Eddie C is a perfect closer to our year. Thanks for coming along with us on these journeys, and we hope you can give us a subscribe and stay tuned - we have some seriously cool things happening for 2025 so don't sleep, and have a wonderful holiday season and New Year.
