I am a musician, composer, teaching artist, facilitator, and administrator originally from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and currently based in Lexington, Kentucky.

My work as a composer is centered around the notion of “genre-fluid” music. The musical structures, harmonic language, instruments and technology I use come from a wide array of genres which allows for the creation of hyper personal music. My music integrates non-musical and pre recorded sounds, innovative production methods, and storytelling.

As a teaching artist, I have designed and facilitated residencies and classes with Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, Brooklyn Arts Council, the Center for Arts Education, Central Kentucky Youth Orchestra, Highbridge Voices, the New York Philharmonic's Very Young Composers program, PrimeLife Arts Learning, and St. Nicks Alliance. In the summer of 2021, I was selected to participate in the Arts Education Partnership's Arts and Literacy Thinkers Meeting Series and currently participate on their Equity Working Group.

In my current position as the Learning and Partnership Programs Manager at the Lexington Philharmonic, I am developing and implementing programming that is centered around the belief that all people should have opportunities to be invited and supported in individually and collaboratively creating art that examines and/or reflects their experiences, values and perspectives.

Prior to joining the Lexington Philharmonic, I worked as an administrator at The New School's College of Performing Arts.

I am currently a Civic Saturday Fellow at Citizen University.

AURAL TERRAINS label started in 2007 as a platform for like-minded composers/musicians who work with the different terrains and depths of sound with vigilance and integrity. The aim was and still is to disseminate exploratory contemporary music in its different manifestations. 
It focuses on electroacoustics, composed and improvised music.

DISASTER AREA is an open  project created for the purpose of experiment various interactions between acoustic and electronic instruments in a  context of improvised music. 
The founding members are Claudio Ferrari, Bruno Gussoni and Iao Aea.
Disaster Area is available for collaborating with other artists; we remember here our collaborations with musicians like Jane Rigler, Bernadette Zeilinger, Diego Mune,  Anja Kreysing, Ulrike Lentz, Anton Mobin, Roberto Lazzarino,  and others, and with the videomaker Jutta Pryor.

CLAUDIO FERRARI operates several electronic instruments, both analog and digital, to produce electronic music both composed and live improvised.

Ricardo Huisman is an Amsterdam based soundsculpture / installation artist, soundscape composer, community sound artist and artistic researcher. Inspired by Acoustic Ecology, Music Concrete, J. Cage, Avant-garde, Contemporary (Classical) Music, Sound- and Sense studies.  His installations can be experienced as multi-sensorial tactile interfaces. The “touchsound” produced by his “tactile sonic sculptures” includes composed soundscapes that reveal multiple associative dimensions, bodily sensations that could give rise to new spaces for imagination and playfull knowledge. Huisman invites people to interact within his community sound art projects, to become co-creators of their own “multisensorial hearing perspectives” and response-able and responsible joint owners of the sound habitat.
