Ecstatic to reveal the 19th release from TDP, 'Renegade Sailor'. A bountiful selection of Beatroots remixes from the four core providers for the auditory vessel of Triple Drop: Expedizion, Bloop, Archa & Circular. 

The four reworks of the two tracks, Renegade & Sailor are rich and full of character. Diversified with alternative pathways in comparison to the original source production. Even though one can quite plainly recognize that the similarities to the original are present. Each artist has demonstrated a unique stamp in their remix. Pioneering their own creative disciplines to astound us with an ingenious range of style, emotion, rhythm and groove.

"A couple of months ago, a friend of mine from Xpanse asked if I'd like to participate in a complextro compilation and I was more than happy to join. Since I had some bass samples from old projects lying around, I decided to try and make a neuro-styled complextro tune. I manipulated the samples over some simple drum loop I made until finally, I got something I liked and it looked like the staff really enjoyed it as well. I heard news about my friend's health problems and decided to name this track for him. 'ALL Destroyer' is an aggressive bass tune; no mellow, soft, melodic bits in it."

Coming off the success of his previous singles released on the Gravitas Infusion series, Orenda returns to Gravitas Recordings to make his full EP debut with Reverie. For his first time working on a musical project of this magnitude, Trevor wanted to contribute to the emerging world bass scene. Reverie is inspired by the marriage of ethereal musical elements with aggressive, powerful bass. Representing a battle between light and darkness, which combat overhead a fusion of world music influences, all seven tracks present the stark contrast on both sides.

Listeners are transported to a majestic land in the title track “Reverie,” hastily greeted by an enchantress who observes the battle as light and darkness collide into a powerful bass. Produced alongside Equanimous, tribal chants are consistently relayed in "Mystic Descent" to accompany the beautiful soundscape and chill oscillations that follow. Cackles precede deep dub in “Numinus” as darkness strategizes its plan of attack. On the other side, the light warriors prepare for the next battle within a dark cave, while mystical currents flow through the water to provide strength in “Marmoris.” Glitch and dub unify in “Fracture,” lamenting on the ruptured state of the land. “You Know” is the calm before the storm, as a vibey bass prepares each side for its last chance at triumph. Featuring DTO, “Gāyatrī” concludes Orenda’s debut EP as each side embarks on an ethnic expedition towards the battlegrounds.

Uraan Biography:

Somewhere in the suburbs of Yakutsk, Russia, lives a new interesting electronic act called, Uraan. Spearheaded by the duo of Aital and Dmitry, the group combines elements of ethnic, electronic and indie dance music to craft a unique and emotive sound that reflects the Yakutian people, their traditions, and its younger generation’s approach to culture, music and art. Yakutia is a large autonomous region in the Far Eastern parts of Russia which takes up one fifths of the country, yet only has a population of 1 million people. This is partially due to the region’s extreme weather conditions which can vary from +38.4 °C to −64.4 °C in the year; the region’s capital, Yakutsk which is the hometown of Uraan, has the coldest winter than any other major city on the planet.

This unique condition can clearly be heard in Uraan’s music through the group’s melancholic and cold compositions, while the few glimpses of warmth are rewarded in the group’s collaborations with regional singers, musicians, orchestras, and other collaborations with all creative people in Yakutia; from modern youth to actors, writers, designers, photographers, artists and etc. Accordingly, since Uraan’s first release in 2011, Yakutian youth have become fans of the group and they are forming their own unique musical sub-culture. This is visualised in the group’s videos, shot by various local collaborators.

Uraan have released 4 EPs to date, namely Roots, Noir, Meta and Limb, the latest of which was released on Renraku music label. The group has also collaborated with numerous renowned Russian artists, including Mujuice, well-known Yakutian singer, Vasilena Sharina, and the Yakutian Kyl Sakha Orchestra.

Bass music in a multitude of eclectic forms, emotionally driven crescendo accompanied by polyrhythmic chord play and satisfying beats. Clever sound design and evocative melody revolve with these beats to create a layered symbiotic goodness that will keep the listener hooked to perpetual movement. His productions are simple yet satisfying. Like many things in life, this realization invigorates his own unique characteristics in bass music and the minimal styles of dub and drum and bass.
