The label’s inaugural release – Club Djembe Vol. 1 – was a five track mini-compilation featuring KG, Bamz, Say3, DJ Polo & Lobby, and Dean Lyon. The second release introduced Colombian-via-London producer and DJ duo CXLI to the fold for a four-track solo EP.
For the third release and second instalment of the compilation series – Club Djembe Vol. 2 – the crew have brought together another group of their favourite artists and influences: from long-time label inspiration Hagan, LA mainstay Bianca Oblivion, and prolific London radio spinner DJ Tess, to local Bristol heroes DJ Polo, Wilfy D and RnB vocalist Pariah.
DJ Polo opens the compilation with the swerving funky house of Doldrums, easy chord stabs darting between taut drums. Following on from his recent EP on Jamz Supernova’s Future Bounce label, Hagan hits full producer-virtuoso stride with his contribution, Splash, which rolls from a lean-back bass groove into chords that’ll be sure to melt through even the tightest lockdown tension. Wilfy D enlists Leeds-born, Bristol-raised singer-songwriter Pariah for Victory, a stunning call-back to the golden age of UK funky vocal bangers.
Bianca Oblivion’s Calling takes the compilation from the socially distanced cook-out to the harder territory of the 2am live-stream, melding the saturated stomps of dutch bubbling house with a hypnotic vocal hook. DJ Tess finishes the release on a ravey high, carving a dextrous triplet-snare hook out of a stadium-sized intro with Veleno.

Big up to the Miro Crew for creating & facilitating one of the sickest D-floors of 2020/2021, nothing but praise.

We got dat good shit (Thanks to @racquetclub). Fabu's live set recording from the lowkey sickest New Years' party in NZ, 'Miro Gathering'. Fabu graced dem decks just as the sun had set in the green, beautiful, outdoor/native bush location in Whangarei. An intimate crowd of over 100 good friends danced into the late evening with this mix as the soundtrack to their NY's journey.

Wellington's FABU is literally on some NZ tour shit right now. Summers been rammed with such poppin vibes as regular Club 121 sets, Nest Fest, and most recently the Club 121 x Department of the Arts ‘Burn Out Tour’.

FaaayBBBeeezy is hitting all the cribs from north to south and now guess what! .. she invading your lounge, your car, all your homies pre-drinks, your favorite stores, dairy's, even fkin countdown with this mix.
