We proudly present the second release on our label: ‘Silurian’ EP by Abu Zeinah. The Berlin-based artist delivers three moody yet driving tracks in his signature ‘alien techno’ style, coupled with remixes from sch_tsch, Fau, and Marek Nalikowski.

The EP opens with ‘Gobi’, a groovy and eerie affair that establishes the work’s menacing character. Following next is ‘Nāga’ which combines the trademark eeriness with a tough drive, based on a reptilian bassline and bolstered by dizzying synth swarms. The final original track ‘Hydra’ is built around playful strobe-like bursts that appear and disappear within a hypnotic beat, bringing the tension to boiling point. Further on, Marek Nalikowski reinterprets the track as a stripped-back workout that alternates between a straight and a stepping groove, while Zurich-based sch_tsch (of Kashev Tapes fame) reimagines ‘Gobi’ into a fast and furious frenzy that’s sure to bring serious dancefloor havoc. The EP closes off with a crafty remix of ‘Nāga’ provided by Fau, who turns it into a breakbeat-fuelled stepper with dreamy pads on top, drifting into a state of bliss.

We have strongly wanted a release from this producer based in the Netherlands that has always had a very unique and characteristic sound. Sound you might have met before with a couple powerful tracks contributed on our Leaks VAs over the years (also under the SORN alias). Raw is the name of his game, with powerful electro influences and powerful melodies, and lots of groove in the beats. And thats what this EP is about. 
On remix duties we have both a new and a well-know face: E-bony, who is a very promising actor of Tel-Aviv electronic music scene (as you will hear in his take), and Casper Hastings, a man clearly able to effortlessly provide powerful electro bangers with the same ease as he does with techno.
