Grab your C harmonica and practice only a 3 notes structure on a 12 bar blues in the key of G. Here are the notes to practice: D-E-F in the I chord, G-A-Bb in the IV chord, and A-B-C in the V chord. BUT... it is played using all holes on your harmonica.  So, D-E-F are on: -1  2  -2" , -4  5  -5  and -8   8  -9.
G-A-Bb are on:  -2( or 3) -3"  -3' , 6  -6   6 ob and 9  -10  10" . A-B-C are on: -3"  -3  4  , -6   -7  7  and -10  10'  10 . 
The 6 ob( overblow ) can be substituted by 7 blow !
This practice will improve your coordination on the harmonica and help you to overcome the fear of using holes 7-8-9-10.
The first 3x 12 bars are the basic exercise. From there I do 2x 12 bars improvising over the practice notes and use some variations. This is all recorded amplified. Next, I play more variations, this time an acoustic recording. 6x12 bars!

Here's an exercise in only using draw notes and bendings on a C harp. The purpose of this exercise is to disturb your coordination and therefore forcing you to use different licks/breathing patterns.

13 x 12bar blues in E, A harmonica. I only used the holes 1-2 and 3 with all possible bendings, no overblow on hole 1. I recorded this to show how you can make more use of micro-bendings. Not the regular semi-tone bends but sometimes a bit more, sometimes less.  No tabs because it is so much better to listen and hear what happens. Try to hear what I do with different grooves/rhythm changes. Try to understand why I repeated some licks, why I played only the root note for 12 bars ( 2 draw and 3 blow!!). Since we all have to stay home I'm sure you can find time to listen/analyze and play along with this practice. And....have fun with it !

Lick of the week #15 -Holes 1-2-3   12 Bar Blues - Key Of E - A Harp

My goal was to transfer a double note bend lick ( first 8 bars) into an almost 6 minutes harmonica solo, all done in 1 take.
So, you'll hear some double note bends, sometimes combined with tremolo/vibrato and an occasional hand wah.. and also some corner switching that I use more and more.
I recorded this one in Reaper (DAW) and did some equalizing on both tracks to avoid a "modern" sounding track.
