Born in 1990. Originally from Kochi prefecture, now residing in Tokyo. He started organizing his own nights in 2011 where he honed his dj skills. Playing anything from classic to cutting-edge tracks, his smooth mixing brings a unique tension and intonation to the ﬂoor through individualistic loops. By gaining his reputation through his dj sets and an insatiable pursuit of the techno scene led him to play regularly in Osaka as well as various venues in mid and West Japan. 
As an organizer he has brought over many prevalent modern techno artists such as Claudio PRC, Ness, Luigi Tozzi and Refracted, in order to evolve the techno scene in Japan. In 2014 he moved to Tokyo where he linked up with his main partner Kannabi to start the techno party Katharsis. 
In recent years his music production skills have ﬂourished, hence, set up the label Katharsis Recordings. The ﬁrst release is sprit 12 from the Label founder Masafumi Take and Kannabi. Also include Iori and Takaaki Itoh remix. The Second release will be out in May on vinyl. 
He is recognized as the next generation to take up the techno mantle in Japan.

James Sigha resurrects his Faugust alias for ‘Parallel Rave Fantasies’, released this Friday 21st June. To celebrate the release we asked James to submit a mix for Bleep.

The Faugust project is Sigha’s place to experiment with his formative influences, leaning heavily on his early experiences with electronic music and placing them within the context of his contemporary production and sound design work.

His mix follows suit and traverses plenty of abstract techno, deconstructed pop and rhythmically complex paths. Something to get lost in.

TF #175: @cassegrain [Arcing Seas] - Berlín

In techno circles, Cassegrain shouldn't need too much of an introduction. With a label résumé that includes, among others, Prologue, Infrastructure New York, Killekill, and Ostgut Ton—as well as highly regarded performances at Berghain, Village Underground, and Output—they've more than stamped their name on the scene. Alex Tsiridis and Hüseyin Evirgen—the two artists behind Cassegrain—formed the project after a chance meeting at the Redbull Music Academy in Barcelona. In the years following, they collaborated remotely via email, sending stems back and forth before making a move to Berlin where they currently share a studio.

Cassegrain are releasing their music mainly on their own label Arcing Seas. Under their solo monikers they are also steadily putting out great music. Magna Pia recently had a new EP out on Soma Records and Rhyw on great platforms like Shifted's label Avian.
