I did two mixes for BB Critch for this song. The first is the big bright Radio Mix that shows all the parts big n brash and this version with a warmer sound favoring the acoustic guitar lines over the electrics.

This is the lead track (and one of the "radio songs" from Jake's first full-length album in which I wore the hats of Record Producer, Mix & Master, and interim Manager to be sure everything all came together with a strong vision.

This is my second song with Silvano. This time, along with a singer, he hired in a guitarist/bassist to make for a more nuanced result. the level of commitment makes a real difference in the quality and enjoyability of the results.

Jake of J-Hit Records came to me with a song he had developed with Jackson Brash. It is a charming summer "fun in the sun" song. He wanted a mix that felt more like something from the 60s than the typical LOUD thing. I was delighted as it is such a charming song. We sat together through the whole process (seeing Jake and I live close) and discussed everything I was doing, Why this thing, and not what they say in those Tuts??? Jake was surprised at how different the process was.

This was great track to prepare like it was a Stevie Wonder track in 1964 as it is a well-written and arranged track with solid performances. Much of the material was MIDI but with my approach, it feels like a lively track, full of character.

A very sweet summer seaside Country song with shades of Jimmy Buffett, Kenny Chesney, and The Beach Boys "Kokomo". When the raw material is a good as this, it is a joy to mix.

BB Critch feat Mella - Port Aransus - Benedict Roff-Marsh Radio Mix

This was one of a pair of songs I mixed for Beholder. "Brightstar" being the other. They are both really fun Indie Rock Band stuff. I delivered two mixes of this one the "SoCal" & "Classic". I must say personally I preferred the Classic Mix as less stereo-ness makes a more tough 'genuine' sound. I understand tho people are swayed but the sound in headphones so here is the usual guitars panned out mix.

I am a Mix Engineer. My approach is different from the typical online mixer these days. My approach is to use the mix to help tell the Story of your Song. I am not looking to make the loudest or widest mix, but to make your song very emotionally engaging. If you find yourself tired of all those loud but flat mixes, give me a try.

I write Space Music which I consider a form of Proto-Techno or Techno as it was initially formed by artists like Kraftwerk, Tangerine Dream, Vangelis, Tomita etc. A few oddities get put here. Most of my work is on my site and bandcamp.
