Stanislav Sevostyanikhin is a Russian electronic music artist, DJ and label owner, known under the pseudonyms Dissident and Kontext. Residing in St.Petersburg, he spends most of his time slicing beats, synthesizing sounds and shaping trends in modern music  culture. His broad range of influences have shaped his diverse and innovative style, although primarily focused on Drum& Bass, Stan has never restricted his music to one style or genre. 
Stan began electronic music production in the late 90's. After gaining some studio experience he formed the Drum & Bass group Dissonance with friends. They had some success nationally in Russia with their live performances and releases . In 2001 he left the project and went on to produce solo under the Dissident moniker  honing and polishing his sound until his first 12” vinyl release “Technecium” (ft. Paul B) was released on the prestigious British record label Renegade Hardware in 2002. 
Today, Dissident is considered a veteran of the Russian Drum & Bass scene. His discography includes 9 albums and a multitude of 12” singles and EPs on labels such as Offshore, Hospital, Subtle Audio, KOS.MOS, Microfunk, Subvert Central, Counter Intelligence,  Subtle Audio, Pinecone Moonshine and many others. 
Under the guise of Kontext, he set out to write music without being bound by genre, showcasing the diversity and extent of Stan’s production skills and his experiments with Techno, Bass Music, IDM. Kontext was exclusively signed to Bristol-based label Immerse  and has received great press from magazines like FACT, DE:Bug, Knowledge, Groove, TimeOut & SPb.

As a DJ he has performed across the globe, known for his own Spare Senses mix series and podcasts for Electronic Explorations, Bassdrive, Jungletrain, Atmoteka and many more.
If all this wasn't enough to keep Stan busy, he also runs his own Opposide Records imprint and is involved in several side projects including TV & Movie production.

While archived content is on the air (or when djs dont have video support) you will find one of 4 real time audio visualizations playing on the video feed, switching every so often to another one randomly.

All streams are HD 1280x720 H264 video and 256k AAC audio.
In addition to the web players you may use any external application that supports RTMP and/or HLS streaming such as VLC.

TUNE ID SERVICE

Ever needed to know what that tune is called? Stop in the chat and trigger the bot to do a lookup! 
The bot will take a sample of whatever is currently playing on the air, and submit to the same services that soundhound, shazam, etc use for their tune identification.
The bot will then either give you the tune id, the closest match, or send ya packin =]

REQUEST/VOTE

Submit a request of one of your own tunes or mixes to be played on the air... 
Any source can be used.. soundcloud, mixcloud, youtube. vimeo, facebook, twitch, ustream.. (anywhere theres audio/video files available to the public)
The request will be queued up and played after the current live show or archive.
