BlockBUSTS - Ep. 3

Better Weather formed when co-founder Skyler McCoy began writing songs following a songwriting workshop with Robin Pecknold of Fleet Foxes.

Their debut record Wayfare was produced, recorded and mixed by McCoy at ages 19 and 20. On record the band's sound is maximalist and cinematic, featuring lush vocal harmonies and instrumentation that balances rock, orchestral and electronic influences. The songs themselves are both experimental and familiar, and filled with vibrant storytelling.

Wayfare was reviewed for New Noise Magazine: "Better Weather brings musical sophistication to an audience in a palpable manner... without limitations." Inspired by a variety of artistic influences, from Ravel and John Williams to Tame Impala, Better Weather brings a beautiful wall-of-sound, naturalist folk aesthetic to pop songs—or perhaps vice-versa.

Aside from its touring experience, the band continues playing live shows in the Denver, CO area.
