Quite a contrast between the opening screaming guitar and then the soft lyrical voice and detailed lyrics - though the passion in the voice explodes.  The balance of emotions well delineated. Strong stuff.

This song started out many years ago as a novelty party spoof on blues. I would ad lib the lyrics and improvise an accompaniment on acoustic guitar which meant no two performances were ever the same. See Retrospection’s Facebook page for a sample.

Recently I decided to do a serious blues rock version and this current track has been inspired by the blues rock style of Eric Clapton and the licks by other blues artists. The lyrics still do contain just a little hint of the mischievous fun from the old party days.

12 - A Bridge To A World, Beyond These Fences (LANDR remastered)

The first time I heard the original, I started crying. I used it in my weekly show on Radio Dark Tunnel - almost every time. It touched the core of me in a way I could not explain - even though I had already given my Bodhisattva-wovs. 
I didn't want to change it very much, respecting the original. Have lifted the vocals, playing around with the EQ'ing and 3D-panning. Added some percs, and a little more.
