That’s how Juwee describes himself as a DJ. Never afraid of going from crazy party vibes to a chillout level, his musical selections are his own therapy.

Raised on sounds of the early 70s, hip-hop and reggae, he always tried to keep himself open to every kind of other music. After discovering Funk, Jazz and Soul, which as he sees it, is the major source of inspiration for most genres, the beat-bender started collecting records, making edits and finally ended up doing originals. Today, this translates into sets where he picks apart and infuses together all the pieces of this music that he loves best: bassline, hiphop, funk, chillout, drum & bass, house, trap…
Though he loves playing in nightclubs, festivals, patios and special events, his love for music goes beyond the spectrum of mixing tunes. As a producer and promoter, he has found plenty of ways to express himself musically.

As a part of the Funkanomics he has been rocking parties all over the world and lighting up the main stages of Fusion Festival, Shambhala Festival, Natural Games Festival, No Stress Festival, Motion Notion, Zürich Openair and many more…


Plenty of hard work with his project Funkanomics got him release on several labels like Adapted Records, Fort Knox Recordings, Jalapeno Records, Bomb Strikes, Ghetto Funk, Rocstar Records, Manmade and many more.

Back in the day, Mt. Doyle was known for his smooth taste in Drum & Bass and his unmatched love for pizza. But it wasn't long before Doyle expanded his horizons to include Funk, House, Hip-Hop and Bass, all with his soulful West Coast flavour. He quickly became a staple in the BC electronic music scene, known not only for his multi-genre sets but his range of recorded mixes as well.

Over the past 10 years, Mt. Doyle has played lounges, clubs and festivals all over the North West, including Shambhala, Lightning In A Bottle, Rifflandia, Electric Love, Wicked Woods, Friendzy Fest, Fozzy Fest, Bamboo Bass, Astral Harvest, Ska Fest, Sun Fest and The Tall Tree Festival. In that time he’s shared the stage with international heavyweights Aphrodite, Camo & Krooked, Ed Solo, A.Skillz, Stickybuds, The Funk Hunters, Chali 2na, JFB, Dub FX, Rusko, Technimatic, LSB & DRS, Serial Killaz, Dub Pistols, Ray Keith, Netsky and Andy C.

In 2016 Mt. Doyle started The Hydration Mix Series, a monthly Liquid Drum & Bass podcast with DJs Akela, Willisist, Erski, Reflektor, Lasu and DJ Surgeon. Later that year Doyle took on a whole new style as he joined the ranks of Victoria based Hip-Hop band Illvis Freshly, where he made his singing debut. Now, when he's not solo, you can catch his live set with Doyle on vocals and Philly on the guitar.

Over the years Mt. Doyle has established himself as one of the most versatile DJs on Vancouver Island. With a mountainous lust for music and style that keeps you guessing, Mt. Doyle will keep bodies moving any time, any place, with whatever the hell he wants.

Sunshine music for the masses! Exotic flavours, soulful melodies and party beats, the happy hippo always brings the sunshine no matter what the weather. 

The Hippo has created his own unique party vibe by infusing Latin, Caribbean and Afro styles into his tastefully produced selections of Breaks, House, Drum & Bass and Hiphop. His upbeat taste in music is perfect for outdoor, sunny day raving, but producing and collecting such a range of music also makes him a very versatile act. His sets can be tuned to suit all kinds of events, be it at a festival, classy cocktail bar, student event or full blown rave.

The Hippo is a full time musician, holding residencies at Bristol’s most famous Mr Wolf’s, No.51 and The Full Moon & Attic Bar (recently featured in The Guardian’s 'top 10 best UK clubs chosen by the experts'). His talent for making crowds dance has seen him take on two French Alpine tours, perform at some of the Uk’s best festivals (including Boomtown, Secret Garden Party & WOMAD) and support top artists such as Dub Pistols, Groove Armada, The Cuban Broth- ers, David Rodigan and many more. The hippo’s music was an instant hit with Sir David Rodigan and he has since been a big supporter, airing two of his tracks on his show on BBC Radio 1Xtra. 

I created this page for the posting of older Breaks DJ mixes. It is not intended to infringe anybody's copyright as an artist or owner of the mixes, just a place to share some of the best and rarest Breakbeat DJ Mixes from yesteryear.

WHO ARE THE AMBASSaDORS?

"Amadis and The Ambassadors" are a musical group who came together in London, by coercion through front man Amadis Ferreira; cooking up blend of music with flavours of Afro, Funk, Reggae and Soul on the menu. Rich in melody and groove, it will take you on a journey of rhythm  and conscious vibration.  Amadis Ferreira is a singer, song writer, composer and multi-instrumentalist, based in Portugal and the United Kingdom and has been on the London music scene for more than a decade.
Together with the Ambassadors, he has played in numerous live music venues and festivals across, Europe and Asia,  in venues such as The Jazz Cafe, The Vortex, in London, and built up an extensive repertoire of original songs that cross the different genres, from african inspired beats & melodies, to reggae, soul and funk, making a truly world music sound. Amadis has also worked on several musical projects over the years with artists such as Jack Tyson Charles.

The Ambassadors are comprised of career musicians, Bubu Jah Tooth on Drums, Emilliano Paraschis on Guitar, Al Maranca on Bass and Jackson Baird on Keyboards.
2016 saw the online release of the Live Recorded Music Video EP "The Journey" for the themes, "Heritage", "Freedom" and "Lisboa". In 2017 followed with the release of the EP as a full body of work available in digital and online video format.
2019 celebrates the release of Amadis & The Ambassadors first studio album titled            “1979 DIG DEEPER”

The debut album was officially released worldwide on the 26th of September, recorded & mixed at Moonwake Studio in London, by Jonathan Rogers and mastered at Pinewood Studios by Streaky Mastering. 
The LP is available on all major digital music platforms and it will be available on vinyl from May 2020!
