Sabb & Michael Deep - Conversations (Original Mix) snippet

The boss is back with "Extraluv" and the ride starts with a subliminal chord progression that only fully unfolds sporadically, adding that special character. A vocal reiterating the title floats around and gets timestretched while distressed synths fly high over the juicy sub bass.

Loco & Jam take care of the first remix and dub things out, adding huge synths and an epic breakdown. Natch! & Dothen follow up with their lazy-groove interpretation sporting a percussive vibe along with some bass-heavy action. Sante Sansone seals the EP with an optimistic bassline and crackling rhythm section, offering a whole different approach to the whole affair.

Earlier in the year the trio that is Pink Skull released a debut LP that was full of a metallic, liquid,and raw sounds, delving into urban landscapes and deep space industrial wastelands. Here select tracks from it get remixed by a fine selection of modern talents – Raxon, disCerN, Stefan Zand Balcazar & Sordo - and have plenty of new life breathed into them.

First up, ‘My Other Feet is My Car’ gets reworked by Balcazar & Sordo, the hot Mexican act that has released on labels like Culprit and Audio Tonic. Their version is a dramatic, macho discoaffair with tight drums, slick arpeggiated melodies and crisp synth lines all building to dramatic peaks.

Raxon, label manager at Dubai’s foremost imprint Audio Tonic, then flips ‘Ryryryry’ into a freaky bit of wonky and unhinged tech house with bendy toms, echoing voices and lots of little alien spirits. It’s a peak time, main room bit of tension-fuelled house that will undoubtedly bring dancefloors together.

Stefan Z, who has had his own full EP on the label back in late 2013, then goes to work on‘Abalone’ and opts for a sparse remaking that is propped up with a bobbling, dirty bassline. Above it industrial synths are allowed to ring out into a chilly night sky before more radian patterns unfold and his bleak vision of the future full manifests itself.

Lastly disCerN aka esteemed DJs and producers Jonny Cruz and Silky then team up to remix the same track. Their version is a deep and constantly decaying house effort with feathery percussion, swaying drums and some serious somber chords that strike a truly introspective vibe.

This is another fine packages of remixes from some of the day’s best.

We're always up for a spot of European collaboration here at Data Transmission (sorry Mr. Farage), so what could be better than an British-raised Italian and 'ein Berliner' firing some funky tech-house our way?

Following the success of their 2012 underground hit 'Wild Things', Davide Squillace and Philip Bader team up yet again, for the latest offering from creative melting-pot This & That. The result? Two dance floor dominating cuts - 'Free The Visa' and '14.000 KM Away'.

To see Hermanez, the Belgium-born DJ and producer with Latin roots and heritage, rise to the top of the new crop, seems like a natural progression for those in the know. Hermanez is perhaps mostly associated with his grooving, and tribal-flecked tech-house productions, which keeps finding favours with the great and good including Luciano, Loco Dice and Reboot to name a few. 

Yet it is clear that Hermanez is on the rise, gaining momentum with every single one of his multi-facetted releases. It took a while for this follow up release on Leena Music after his huge success in 2010 with his debut ep „Necotine“. We proudly present a new facette of Hermanez with „Innersphere“. Enjoy!
