A fascination with taxidermy, a love of Krautrock, and interests ranging from vintage synths to gothic Victoriana - Ghosting Season embody the eccentric and the ethereal. ‘The Very Last Of The Saints’ is the debut album from the Manchester-based duo, aka Gavin Miller and Thomas Ragsdale. 

Stepping off the path laid by the great British leftfield tradition (Eno, Aphex, Seefeel, Global Communication, Burial, Lone et al), Ghosting Season fuse elements of ambient techno, musique concrete, IDM and post-rock into the kind of textured soundscapes that have won them much critical acclaim via a handful of releases, remixes (Radiohead, Cloud Control) and their formidable live show (Fields, SXSW and beyond).

Ghosting Season’s sound first emerged as tangents from Gavin and Tom’s previous band project, worriedaboutsatan. While the latter took its cues from the likes of Explosions In The Sky and Mogwai, the pair’s music began to head off into a different direction, one that was informed far more by electronic music, but still incorporated their love of guitars, vocals and found sounds. This new identity bore its first fruit with 2011’s ‘Far End Of The Graveyard EP’.

‘The Very Last Of The Saints’ is a breathtaking debut, moving from beautifully crafted cerebal electronica to tripped out house, glitchy drone collages and more strobe-friendly peaktime techno.

‘The Very Last Of The Saints’ is the first album release on Sasha’s Last Night On Earth label.


Ghosting Season - Far End Of The Graveyard

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Lucy Cliché. "Head Duety" is a double edged assault that comes off the Australian artist's debut on Fleisch. Lucy Cliché - Heady Duet

Out on Rotterdam's Electronic Emergencies, this dark experimental and downright nasty series of tracks are well worthy of your time but this remixed version of Vägskäl is so visceral and urgent that it should have a flashing light and siren on it's bonnet so that it can get to where it needs to and that everyone knows to get out of it's way. The fact that Grymt translates to both 'grim' and 'cool' give you some indication of where this track is on the PH Scale.

Romantic Fiction - the debut LP from Curses - is an honest musical expression drawing inﬂuences from his youth growing up in NYC in the 80s. References to new wave, post-punk, synth music and early EBM are skillfully merged with the DIY approach of punk and rock n roll angst. Brandishing an immersive sonic palette, all instruments throughout the album were played and recorded by the artist.
Exhausted by the current state of competitive dance music monotony, Romantic Fiction is a collection of songs, not DJ tools: songs that work at home, but also in the club should the right crowd beckon.
It’s about escapism and ﬁnding comfort in the unknown, fulﬁlling the empty void by embracing the mysterious. Darkness is a light undiscovered, not something to be frightened of.
Curses also invites friends who share a mutual love for incorporating post punk and new wave into contemporary electronic music. Perel delivers mighty Nina Hagen-esque operatic punk vocals on the ﬁrst single, 'Gold & Silber', whilst Dischi Autunno label boss Jennifer Cardini and Curses share a duet on the cold wave silk of 'Silence In The Dark'.
As an amalgamation of inﬂuences from multiple decades, Romantic Fiction is a deeply personal album, triggering a feeling that is unnerving at times, familiar and welcoming at others.

Celebrating its 10 year anniversary, Netherlands-based music imprint @dynamic-reflection sets out to release 'Continuum' - a massive five EP compilation series that honors the label's uncompromising and expansive artistic horizons. 'Continuum' will feature 20 exclusive tracks from artists such as Oscar Mulero, Steffi, Deepbass, Shifted, Donatto Dozzy, Mike Parker, Blawan and many more.

Releasing the initial EP of the 'Continuum' series on October 19, the first offering from this impressive anniversary release, 'Elusive', comes from Ukranian duo @woo-york. Premiere: Adam X - Earth Base One [Sonic Groove]

The UK-born but Berlin-based producer BNJMN (@bnjmnnn) releases his first album since seven years. Released under the famous Dutch label @DelsinRecords, the Hypnagogia LP is a ten-tracker that takes BNJMN towards more hypnotic and soothing soundscapes. 

Monument premieres the second part of the name track Hypnagogia from the album, that will be out on November 19th.
