Hello and welcome back to our weekly exclusive podcast, PFG -The Progcast is about to embark on another supersonic search for the finest Progressive beats.

This week we've landed back in the UK, and a DJ well known on all the local scenes he's played in. With a DJ career spanning over 20 years, it is our great pleasure to introduce to you... DAN HILL!

HiLLY started his DJing career at only 16, playing at parties and weddings. But in 1994 he formed SENSi-TiZE, with 2 mates, producing several big Happy Hardcore Tracks, including Burn Baby Burn which featured on Top 40 albums.

But after the first three SENSi-TIZE releases Dan decided to move away from the Hardcore scene as he was becoming more and more influenced by Dj's such as Jeremy Healey, Greame Park, Judge Jules and Tony De Vit. After a chance meeting with Geoff Hawkins then resident DJ at Central Nightclub in Stamford UK. Geoff become a big supporter in Dan's early DJ career helping him obtain his first residency, called Creation @ Central playing uplifting piano house. This soon progressed to an additional Saturday night at Maddisons in Nuneaton. During this time Dan worked along side such names as Liquid, Ratpack, Isha D, Sam Ellis, Yomanda, K-Klass, Brandon Block and Tony De Vit to name a few. Also within this time he guested several times with Geoff at the Ministry of Sound in London playing at the High Bias records launch night and also playing the Seduction House Weekender.

After these early successes Dan moved to the Isle of Man due to work, thankfully the DJ work continued as he linked up with James Gale (DJ Gid) and the Switched On Crew. The dance scene in the IOM was slightly behind the UK and therefore gave the crew the chance to hold more than half a dozen outdoor dance parties. It was like going back to the early 90's rave days with around a 1000 people partying throughout the night under an erected Marquee in the middle of the Manx countryside, prompting Dan to still say now these were probably the best gigs of his career. Unfortunately it wasn't long before Manx law caught on and put an end to these great nights. The scene continued with Switched On and Paul Aldridge promoting nights at the Cave Nightclub. Dan soon found himself gracing the decks with Ricky Rooney and Gid where they were joined by Dave Seaman, Nick Warren, Matt Hardwick, Graham Gold, Nick Rafferty, Lee Burridge and Anthony Pappa.

While out in the IOM Dan was regularly visiting the UK to work on more material with SENSi-TIZE and they were rewarded for their hard work when they were signed up to Tony De Vit's TDV Label. Unfortunately, Tony's sad death had a huge effect on Dan and SENSi-TiZE's progression.

 Following a short break away from the scene, and the UK, after much discussion Dan decided to reform SENSi-TIZE and was also determined to re-launch his DJ career.
Over the last 2 decades Dan has spun turntables in Australia, Dublin, Isle of Man, Tenerife, Ibiza and back in the UK, playing for brands such as Hed Kandi, Minimal, In 2 Deep, Milwaulkees, Ministry Of Sound, Deep Down, Alfresco and Pushin.

Although now semi-retired from djing, he still has a huge passion for music. He mixes house under his real name Dan Hill, Techno under HiLLY, and still plays the odd hardcore and Trance gig as SENSi-TIZE! ENJOY THE MIX!
