What makes a being ? What tends to be, always, and yet remains never achieved ? @jonnnah puts on this set of imagination many parts, many pieces, many elements. In this ninth release on Worst Records, the Lyon based musician gathers all the impressions defining this nebula. « Mental & Physical » is a collection above all things. We talk about a collection of influences. Industrialized trip-hop, dubstep for concrete spaces, new-age-infused ambient daydreams, links are hazy but incarnate. A constant rotation, between extasy and uneasy meditation, shapes this mass of artefacts that seems almost involuntary as they dig so deep into instinctiveness. At the root of this first magmatic opus lies a years long work in progress, a sonic research, the attempt to make live this body of vapour which is the music in becoming. It's a listening with no answer, but the pulse is vivid and vital.

Collection de sens également. Une rotation permanente, entre extase et recueillement inquiet, sculpte cet amas incertain d'artefacts qu'on dirait presque involontaires tant ils creusent dans l'instinctif. A la génèse de ce premier opus magmatique se trouve un work in progress de plusieurs années, une recherche sonore, la tentative de faire vivre ce corps toujours vaporeux de la musique en devenir. Une écoute sans réponses, mais à la pulsation vitale intacte et organique.

Fresh off the success of his recent release on Radiant Records titled "Hyperdelic," Kasra is submerging listeners with a signature sound touching on dance music visions from different epochs but harnessing a unique aural palette.

Kasra applies cut up techniques with sampling and utilizing his own voice as a tool throughout the record, topping the club energy with a punk rock sensibility.

Equal parts eccentric and equal parts calculated, the tempest of this record is doused in wild elements: anthemic vocal samples with arena shaking capabilities, 80's hedonistic nostalgia, catchy utopian vibrations with a psychedelic cyber flair, flirting with inspiration from groups like Meat Beat Manifesto and YMO. Euphoric and aerated, but with a slicing undertone utilizing his freaky sampling prowess.

Shaytoon is proud to present the next chapter of diaspora alchemy for your listening pleasure.

We are incredibly excited and grateful to present 'NOCTURNO' - the first proper LP release by Chilean producer, Masot. The 10 tracks effortlessly traverse multiple genres throughout the album arc, showcasing a highly detailed and carefully designed sound palette - one which remains remarkably intact throughout the whole journey.

Moments of Nocturno feel melancholy and pensive, but never void of the hypnotic and percussive 2-step rhythms that feel like a darker take on the historically upbeat sound of UK 2-step and Garage.

Each song is meticulous, but not over-indulgent. The intricacy, melodic elements and club utility allow the LP to be as functional for the club as it is for at home listening.

Worst Records' hall of fame welcomes new faces around the pool for a 13-stages enlightened drama. You'll meet again with the top 3 podium made of A Strange Wedding, Jacques Satre and Christian Coiffure, all rensponsible for our first three releases, building up a mesmerizing, out of season mental workout. Extending the dimension of trance towards Saint-Etienne, Del.Duc brings on a curious yet serene astral travel, and we can also count on the distant reinforcements from the Toulouse Gouffre Club crew with Jan Loup and her glitch spangled hazy dub from far futures and the new trance comer from Bordeaux, Lazuli.
Special friends are also gathering here, as Myako is sewing on thin fabric a vaporous dub in shades of grey, the one-and-only master touki Théo Muller delivers a cinematic remedy to confinement.
Liberation through hearing, it is, as borders explode with the presence of many : Yin Yang Audio in a transatlantic IDM/break jump, Forest on Stasys (aka Mental Resonance) and his tough shamanic dance, Clemens Friedrich slowing down all senses at once and JEANS, boss of Oracle Bones, speeding us up in the hyperloop.
Finally, as teamwork means a lot, we have given the pleasure to open this compilation to the four-headed Lausanne/Freiberg hydra 4POTR and their cryptic transdimensional message, and the honor of closing this pool party to the 404 trio gem from Candoblé with a fine piece of wonder.

Not exactly your usual summer compilation, nor the hits you could imagine, but surely the music you'll need under the hot sun of 2020.
