Donald Dust's new offering arrives courtesy of London's Claptrap label and will be distributed by Berlin’s flagship record store Oye. “Fluorescent Music” EP blends the best bits of early mid-80’s Chicago House; the melodic side of The Hague's late 90s and early 2000s sound shaped by the likes of I-f and Intergalactic Gary; and also there are palpable hints of early experiments in Italo Disco. We couldn’t think of a better blend of sounds and styles ourselves!

Today Bolting Bits are premiering B1 track from the release titled “Rescue ships approaching”. Kudos to Donald for a really nice work on the drums and percussion, but this time the rhythmic part of the track will have to hold the candle for the synths. The arpeggiated line rolling almost throughout the track will surely get you hooked and cosmic pads and stabs with other synthesized melodic elements will transport you deep into interstellar space. Finlay Jamieson (aka FJ) is a Musician, Producer and DJ quickly becoming a household name in Glasgow, developing a unique multi genre sound. After moving to Glasgow in 2013 he’s come a long way starting as a musician and producer then honed in both talents to become a DJ. 
FJ has established himself as a resident for ‘Breathe’ djing in some of Glasgow/Edinburghs top clubs; La Cheetah Club, Stereo, Broadcast, Nicen’Sleazys, Room2, The Berkeley Suite, Cabaret Voltaire and many more. Finlay has released tracks on Tea Party Records, Prescribed Records and Bedroom Traxx. Finlay has also featured on lineups in London. He has promising projects for 2025 including plans to release a new Originals EP and some exciting and dynamic edits, Finlay is one to watch this year !

His sound influenced by the 80s, his style is a blend of deep and dirty disco, electro, italo and deep house. His mixes give you the feeling of going back into time and reliving the 80s .

VMADanceMachine is a DJ duo. We have known each other since the '80s and were immersed in house music from the start, although up and till around 2010 this involved mainly going to house parties. Since a few years we have started playing music, creating our own mixes and since a year or two we also started doing gigs together. It felt so natural that it was time to merge our creativity which resulted in VMA Dance Machine. 

VMA is a combination of both our initials (the V and the A) and of one of our close friends who inspires us through his art and inspiration (the M in the middle). It is also a subtle reference to the era of the '80s and '90s with the MTV Video Music Awards which we grew up with. 

Dance Machine refers to the Dance-Offs that we used to have (and still have) at the parties we attend as well as what we intend to achieve with our sets (which is to get the party rocking and get the people on to the dance floor). To create sets that will get your blood pumping, your juices flowing and that urge your body to start moving up to the point that you can no longer resist and start to dance.

Our reposts are tracks that we bought, want to buy, really dig or find inspirational and think deserve your attention. Our likes are reserved for the sets posted on Soundcloud which we would to hear over and over again and which we use as inspiration for our own sets.
