Copenhagen-based musical adventurer Ground Plane Aerial returns with the latest instalment under his recently birthed moniker – this time launching his very own Theorama label project with a typically expressive 'Elusive Maneuvers' EP.
Ground Plane Aerial is the latest incarnation of the mysterious man behind the highly regarded Paxton Fettel project. With countless releases under his belt on much respected labels – including Delusions Of Grandeur, Kolour LTD, Apersonal, and regular home Greta Cottage Workshop – the new nom de plume is an exciting new 
vessel from where he intends to advance his odyssey into house-inspired jazz-funk futurism. Fresh from inspired releases and remixes on Apparel Music and Tensnake's True Romance, his latest offering is every bit as striking as we've come to expect from the maverick producer. 
The lively tempo, dramatic stabs and elegant musicality of 'Ethereal Drop' render it an esoteric classic in the making. Guitar picks burst into life over lush pads while synth arpeggios meander across the panorama. Rich with intelligent musicality, the arrangement ebbs and flows blissfully before eventually disappearing into evocative violet skies.
'Magik In Fuck Off Major' belies its cheekily confrontational name, as intricate layers of jazz-tinged keyboard licks make way for delicious chord progressions. The crisp rhythm stealthily builds before a deviant funk-fuelled synth line joins the action to add a freakish intensity to the delightfully distinctive cut. Simultaneously detailed and spacious, the music overflows with originality while retaining a floor-focused edge.

FADE IN: EXT. POOLSIDE AT A MODERN HOME IN COSTA MESA, CA 
CAMERA holds an aerial view of the pool and we see a man underwater rising closer and closer to the surface. 

TITLE CARD: HARRISON BDP - “NEED YOU HERE” A man, standing on a white marble platform in a lime green speedo, rises above the water’s surface as the song builds from drums toward the first instrumental stylings. The man, glowing in the sun and dripping wet, sticks his hand forward as if holding a jug, and a burst of CGI magic makes a pitcher of Aperol spritz appear in his grip. 

RYAN CLOVER (Exhaling) AHHHHHHH. That’s the stuff.

RYAN tips the pitcher of Aperol spritz over his head. 

CAMERA CLOSE UP on Ryan’s face as the liquid covers the head region. In slow motion, the camera moves all the way to his feet and shows the liquid turning to bright red sludge as it hits the surface of the water. 
The song breaks into a more heads down groove full of your favorite proggy lasers and genre-specific blips, blops, and bloopies. 

CAMERA CLOSE UP on Ryan unmoving and staring intently at the sludge.

CAMERA ZOOM OUT to show the red sludge forming into what appears to be a body. It grows and becomes more human like by the second.

“NEED YOU HERE” pulsates, moving like a cool breeze over the crowd of an open air festival. 

CAMERA DOLLY IN on the sludge man, who appears to be UK Legend Harrison BDP. 

HARRISON BDP (In a deep and questioning tone) Did you order this banger?

CAMERA DOLLY OUT. Staging shot of both men. Ryan, looking at Harrison inquisitively. . 

RYAN CLOVER I sure did, amigo. Why don’t you slap that right here. 
Ryan turns slightly, raises his hip, and exposes a soft and pasty white ass cheek. At this point the song is at a peak. Ethereal in-motion pads give way to a final burst of percussive radiance. Controlled but bumping. 

HARRISON BDP Allow that, bruv. Get away.

DOLLY OUT ON BOTH MEN staring intently into each other’s eyes. Ryan challenging Harrison to make his move. Harrison trying to defeat Ryan’s challenge. 

A SERIES OF QUICK CLOSE UPS on each man’s facial expressions, clenched fists, speedo crotch, wiggling toes. Rapid close ups on those various things in random order in a trip sequence. Psychedelic colors flashing on the screen as the sequence becomes more chaotic.

Melbourne based producer GREETINGS heads up Boots & Legs – an Italo focused label whose aesthetics float somewhere between yesterday and tomorrow – releasing records from Furor Exótica, Kayroy and more, and now he readies his Running Out Of Steam debut with four house and electro-fused dreamscapes.

Staying true to the label aesthetic of blending killer club grooves with introspective atmospherics, ‘ALONE’ is a cut of trance-licked house, M1 chords providing a disco-ball euphoria across the minimal, yet vibrant, soundscape. ‘Desires’ sees GREETINGS blend his admiration for Italo into a heavenly, 80s pop-ballroom experience designed for when the lights go on.

The B-side brings out the producer's electro influence; ‘That Was A Weird Summer’ is as Italo as it is otherworldly – a sound similar to what might be heard if aliens discovered disco – before ‘Don’t Die Wondering’ closes the curtain with a cut of stirring and transcendental analog-electro that's as rough as it is smooth.

Calm and calculated start, if we compare it to the original, the entity and the amount of softness of the song is almost the same, but with the addition of vocals, I'd say it is even more gentle and refined. The major change and the bait of this version is the provocative and seductive voice. It practically begs you to give in and savor the moment on the grounds that there might never be another one like this.

This is the splendid deep follow up EP by our favorite Liverpool artist Petals In Sound. After her great label debut last summer where she already showed us her wonderful atmospheric electronic sound, she now continues on a journey through that same spaced-out house territory. “Dial Tone” and “Lush” are both laid back groovers that sooth every dancefloor and are perfect late, or better, early hours tunes to steer dancers gently towards sunrise and out of smoke filled clubs, homewards with warm musical memories of a danced and spaced out night.

“The Sea and Everything in It” is a personal fave here as it combines great percussive rhythms with her unique style, arpeggios and dark synths electronica, deep like a warm spring day. The outdoor raves will be a perfect setting for this one! Last we asked our other new label member Pete Bandit from Berlin to remix “Lush”. With his own debut “Wild Feelings” he already set the tone showcasing his expert percussive and driving house sound. Here again he turned the original into a loopy “New York House” style jam with cool funky drums that fit in perfectly with the other tracks and make this whole EP a tight and delightful package.
