Deep-house hero Michele Lamacchia, widely known for his project Rhythm Of Paradise, but also for XPRESSION and KETAMA, inaugurates his brand new vinyl-only label, Aural Vision @aural-vision. He is dropping a beautiful EP under his Nu-Cleo alias, already seen on Chiwax. 

This debut release features 4 exciting, slamming deep house tracks with distinctive analog sounds and oldschool sonorities.

LeSale is back with the Synchronized EP, which marks his fifth solo EP on Luv Shack Records.

The title track is LeSale´s first foray into boogie-funk, featuring lyrics and vocals by Kathy Diamond, one of the great voices of the early nu-disco era and former singer of the duo KDMS, as well as tape mixing by vienna based studio wizard Sam Irl. "Synchronized" comes in 4 versions; the classic vocal mix featuring the full vocals by Kathy Diamond, the instrumental mix which is stripped of the vocals entirely, the extended dub mix, featuring arrangement and additional overdubs by Sam Irl, concentrating on the bare,funky essence of the track and finally a special remix by Ooft!.

Melbourne based producer GREETINGS heads up Boots & Legs – an Italo focused label whose aesthetics float somewhere between yesterday and tomorrow – releasing records from Furor Exótica, Kayroy and more, and now he readies his Running Out Of Steam debut with four house and electro-fused dreamscapes.

Staying true to the label aesthetic of blending killer club grooves with introspective atmospherics, ‘ALONE’ is a cut of trance-licked house, M1 chords providing a disco-ball euphoria across the minimal, yet vibrant, soundscape. ‘Desires’ sees GREETINGS blend his admiration for Italo into a heavenly, 80s pop-ballroom experience designed for when the lights go on.

The B-side brings out the producer's electro influence; ‘That Was A Weird Summer’ is as Italo as it is otherworldly – a sound similar to what might be heard if aliens discovered disco – before ‘Don’t Die Wondering’ closes the curtain with a cut of stirring and transcendental analog-electro that's as rough as it is smooth.

Italian deep house producer Nu-Cleo (Aural Vision, Chiwax, Forbidden Dance, EATMOREHOUSE), also known for his works under the Rhythm Of Paradise, Gourment De Funk and 34th Floor Experience projects, offers up a selection of airy but hard hitting cuts, representing the signature Balearic deep house sound of South Italy. Essential record for deep house aficionados!

The 4-track EP, "Ti Lascerò" (I'll Leave You), including the eponymous deep acid club track, features also a dub remix by Leisure mainstays Andrew Joseph and Myles Emmons.

The latest release from Chicago's Leisure Records will be available as a 12" and digital on November 10th.

Underground System returns to @razor-n-tape with the ‘Looking In EP’ -  a 5-track offering of fresh originals and remixes. Ranging from low-slung Balearic grooves, to driving left-field funk and urgent up-tempo backbeats, the record is a fine-tuning of the US sound, complete with their signature flute and synth soundscapes, driving percussion, and catchy offbeat vocal hooks. On the B-side, RNT mainstays Nenor and Clive From Accounts take two of the tunes into clubbier territory, with a pair of remixes that are primed for the dance floor.

This is the splendid deep follow up EP by our favorite Liverpool artist Petals In Sound. After her great label debut last summer where she already showed us her wonderful atmospheric electronic sound, she now continues on a journey through that same spaced-out house territory. “Dial Tone” and “Lush” are both laid back groovers that sooth every dancefloor and are perfect late, or better, early hours tunes to steer dancers gently towards sunrise and out of smoke filled clubs, homewards with warm musical memories of a danced and spaced out night.

“The Sea and Everything in It” is a personal fave here as it combines great percussive rhythms with her unique style, arpeggios and dark synths electronica, deep like a warm spring day. The outdoor raves will be a perfect setting for this one! Last we asked our other new label member Pete Bandit from Berlin to remix “Lush”. With his own debut “Wild Feelings” he already set the tone showcasing his expert percussive and driving house sound. Here again he turned the original into a loopy “New York House” style jam with cool funky drums that fit in perfectly with the other tracks and make this whole EP a tight and delightful package. PREMIERE: Petals In Sound - Lush (Pete Bandit Remix)

The placement of the microphone was changed in this recording. Since my instrument was facing the wall, the microphone had been placed about 2 meters behind me.  This time, however, I moved it forward to 1 meter at compass bearing of 250 degrees relative to my body.  I have also changed the recording volume from "default" to "medium" since one to two recordings ago.  The recorded sound now seems to be less fuzzy, and I can hear the replay clearly even with the computer monitor's built-in loud speaker.

Translation of music title is part of the fun.  In order to understand the original title better, I google around to find explanations in plain Chinese language as well as other musicians' interpretation.  Then, if I cannot think of a good translation by myself, the web knowledge is borrowed again.  In this case, "Gild The Lily" seems to best fit the title metaphorically.

The photo is of a Class 1 military officer's Rank Badge in early 15th Century.  The woven or embroidered badges were usually of the finest workmanship, and metal (gold and silver) threads were often used. Next up for London via Detroit artist @demiriquisimo is an exciting six-track remix EP on his Semi Delicious record label. Demi, who has been receiving praise by many in the underground dance music scene, lined up a head-turning collection of reworks from @kassiansound, T.Jacques, Baby Rollen, Black Loops, Manual Darquart and Jive Talk. This isn’t your average remix EP, as each artist completely reinvents his work in their own unique way.

The EP opens straight away with a dancefloor destroying remix of ’54 Reasons’ by Kassian. A steady, up-tempo and commanding drum pattern set the stage from the get go, with a warm bassline being introduced around the minute mark. The vocal recalls dancefloor days with its intuitive charm, worthy of a chant in the club. Perfectly crafted synth-work guides the listener throughout the track but makes it to the spotlight when the kick and bass cease, just before guiding the listener back to the familiarity of the drum groove. All in all, the track has that classic Kassian take on house that we have grown fond of over the years.
