‘What’s My Derivative?’, is the new label from London/Brighton-based duo Casino Times. Much like the radio show of the same name, WMD? aims to release music that explores the unusual spaces between house & techno, showcasing emerging producers and former guests of the show. Artists are invited to interpret the sound of the label as they see fit, giving them the freedom to explore different styles without the constraints of any rules. Profits from WMD?001 will be directed towards the Trussell Trust, an incredible charity that helps those most in need in the UK [trusselltrust.org].

WMD?001 kicks off with 'How I Came To Find Myself' from mul.apin. The Berlin resident sets the tone for the release by opening with a dramatic, hair-raising string sample.  The track is brushed with gentle synth stabs and a distant melody that dances gracefully across this heavy hitter.

Up next is High Hopes, the mysterious producer that has not made an appearance, since featuring on Casino Times’ 2014 release on Wolf Music Recordings. High Hopes is a master of programming and the hypnotic 'Mind Art' demonstrates just that; a captivating blend of swirling pads and rhythmic elements that weave the listener through a dream-like soundscape.

London-based Baby Rollen delivers a real moment on the release with 'Tyst Eufori', a peak summertime boogie that skilfully deploys a washed-out vocal - perfect for dancefloors under the sun.

Finally, Casino Times closes the release with the psychedelic 'Bloom', a track that’s been a feature in Casino sets for a few years now, with big drums that were made with bass bins in mind.

Next up on Lyssna Records is no other than Aspetuck from the great state of New York. He's a friend of the label and one of the hardest working producers around. We're immensely proud to be given the privilege to release his four track masterpiece "Lost the Key". The EP is full of swirling 303s, off kilter beats and synth laden soundscapes, ingredients we love here at Lyssna HQ. "Lost the Key" is slated for a Bandcamp exclusive release on the 3rd of September before it hits streaming services and other online boutiques a bit later.

Almost a year separates us from the release of Tour-Maubourg’s resounding first album Paradis Artificiels. The former “promising producer of French house” (Trax Magazine, 2017) had confirmed all the promises placed in him, even becoming “the flagship” of this scene, and being named album of the month in Tsugi and DJ Mag ES , or artist to follow by Libération. 

To celebrate this 1st anniversary, Pierre d’Estienne d’Orves invites 4 artists on a remix EP of this first long format: the Parisian producer as well as the founder of D.KO Records Flabaire, the sound explorer Molécule, the British duo Wayward as well as as the poet-designer-musician-performer Joseph Schiano Di Lombo. A sweet melting pot of genres between syncopated deep house, electronic musical experience, UKG and ambient. “I wanted to bring together people with whom I share the same breeding ground of influences” explains Tour- Maubourg, who also signs a remix. To open this new EP, Flabaire revisits the flagship track from the album ‘Ode To Love’ with a twist worthy of Larry Heard, as stated in the title of the remix. “This remix is clearly tinted with my love for US deep-house” he explains.

Tragic Revolution, a New Beat track from 1988, gets a uptempo edit by Lennart.
The catchy melodies and dark vocoder voices caught his attention and inspired him to give this song a new twist.

Lennart is a 23 year old producer from The Netherlands who started working at Slow Motion in the beginning of 2021. In the last year he got introduced to a lot of new music (including this track) by Franz Scala and Fabrizo Mammarella.
This edit was made last summer in the studios of Sameheads in Berlin and is now available as a free download for you!

Marie Montexier, head of Paryìa Records, releases the label’s ﬁrst EP by the German-Turkish artist a.b.u.3.0.3. Creating a range of slow and fast rhythms while mixing different genres from experimental structures to ﬂoor ﬁllers, Paryìa I doesn’t only highlight a personal and intimate side of a.b.u.3.0.3.’s work but also Marie’s sense for crossing genre boundaries.

Inﬂuenced by his father’s culture, a.b.u.3.0.3 blends elements of traditional anatol-folk with electronic music that shaped his youth. He combines bass heavy techno rhythms with deep acid patterns, letting his arrangements oscillate between nostalgic moods and contemporary sounds.

Social rules and understandings shape what people feel and how they do or don't express their feelings… and this is the Interactive View of Emotions. Berlin based, Iranian Kamyar Keramati inaugurates his own label, taking you on a Voyage through low-end leaned Techno, Trance, New-beat and Break-beat with sharp and punchy beats that were caught in the air, and expressed amongst the midst of the winter pandemic.

The first listen on the label is “dɪˈfɛktɪv”, riding an incredible squelching line from the get go, before directing you down a path of mechanical movements, each element conversing to create a unique language for club to understand. Next on the EP is “Mad World Of Mr. Ghara’ti” an enthusiastic trip laced with ricocheting shades of acid, packed with a distinctive drive which carries the track into intergalactic atmospheres.On the flip side, simmering synths bubble throughout “Interactive View Of Emotions”, a track name that the label entity was born from, showcasing the intentions of the project and what this journey will entail. Dusty broken drums tease you into the curious ride that is, “Abyss”, meandering through mysterious textures, painting a hypnotic illusion for the listener, classy modern day trance with a twist.

Known for his prolific productions as one half of the Tonnovelle duo, Kamyar Keramati goes it alone with “Interactive Views Of Emotions”, allowing himself full freedom, taking the life experiences he has endured and laying them out bare for everybody to listen, telling his tale from the heart.

@phonicarecords proudly welcomes the highly respected producer Dorisburg to their main label roster with a brilliant three track EP of expertly crafted Deep House and Techno.

Sweden’s Dorisburg (real name Alexander Burg) has been consistently creating some of the most carefully constructed dancefloor records over the past decade and his various releases for the likes of Aniara, Bossmusik and Northern Electronics are seemingly always in demand with DJs and listeners alike.

His stunning debut album ‘Irrbloss’ on Hivern Discs sold out almost immediately upon release and still fetches high prices on the second-hand market. This is all to say nothing of his involvement in the critically acclaimed duo Genius Of Time with Nils Krogh (aka Arkajo).

While his productions can vary widely from upbeat and melodic to dark and foreboding, one thing is consistent in them all; atmosphere. This latest chapter in the Dorisburg story is no different, with ‘House Organ For The Lonely’ starting the EP off with a slow-building and ominous feel eventually pierced by a delicate synth line. It’s the little details that mark his productions apart, with tiny flourishes throughout imbuing the track with a layer upon layer of texture.
