This second opus takes us on a journey through time and style, from jazz-funk to dance music and Afrobeat, invoking masters such as Caetano Veloso, Giorgio Moroder or Tony Allen.

Faze Action return with a brand new 12", teaming up with Zimbabwean born Zeke Manyika to create "Mangwana". Sung in Zeke's native Shona, and taking influences from Mory Kante, South African Kwaito to early house, Faze Action manage to create a record that harks back yet still has a modern and contemporary feel and is set to be the soundtrack to countless festivals and outdoor parties this summer.

The title track is followed by the stunning "Chiiko", featuring Zeke's vocals enriched by Rob's 'cello's with African rhythms floating you away to another tropical world. A Vision of Panorama turns up the dial with a stunning mix on the flip side. A new bass line adds to some quality keyboard work. Some of our favorite compadres in the premiere game have to be the lads of SlothBoogie, Danny and Pat. Since their humble beginnings as a music channel, the two have branched out considerably the past few years; getting their hands involved in everything from promotion to running their own record label. In fact, the purpose of today's post is to help them mark an important milestone in SlothBoogie history - the fifth installment of their ever-popular EDITZ series. Like previous releases, Danny and Pat have managed to secure a spectacular cast of talented producers for their compilation. The 4 track EP includes everyone from seasoned veterans like Carlo and Luvless to promising up and comers like Zak Degenhardt of Cassettes For Kids.

Although the originals from those guys sound absolutely phenomenal, the one we chose to premiere today is actually a first for the group who rounds out the record - Bondi Bondi. Based out of Buenos Aires, this trio consists of notable DJs and producers Pabels, Signo, and Way. Much like the music they curate as individuals, the goal of the band seems to be 100% beach vibes with a strong emphasis on bringing classic disco and afro music to the forefront once again.

One of those tracks happens to be a Michael Cooper hit from 1987, which acts as the inspiration for their edit "Dinner 4-2." Taking the ridiculously romantic original, Bondi Bondi have decided to create the ultimate DJ weapon for setting the mood by upping the song's tempo and adding in a dancefloor assortment of bass, oceanfront ambiance, and groovy synth melodies.

On April 19th, DJs for Climate Action (DJS4CA) present the second annual EARTH NIGHT; an initiative harnessing the energy of the global nightlife scene to raise awareness and funds for climate action. Taking place in the week leading up to Earth Day, the team will release an impressive music compilation and sponsor parties in Brooklyn, Berlin and beyond to shine light on the challenge facing our planet and the unique role musicians can play.

This year DJS4CA launch EARTH NIGHT RECORDS with a compilation that gathers new music from over 50 artists from 12 countries including Simon Meija (Bomba Estereo), Infinity Ink, Nicola Cruz, Little Boots, and many others. It will become available for pre-order exclusively through Bandcamp starting March 11th, and tracks will drop every week leading up to the full release on 4/19.

To show our support for such an important initiative, we are sharing one of the songs from the compilation today. By happy chance, it just so happens to be from Boltings Bits fave Bosq! Titled "Many Hands," the Colombian-based maestro describes this tune as, "[...] a mix of rhythms and styles from around the world, and a representation of many simple pieces coming together to create a solution even when the setbacks mean you have to start over and rebuild again […]”

Poignant, yet resolute, this quote not only encapsulates the feel of the track but also represents the valiant efforts of the DJs and organizers from around the globe who are joining forces to raise awareness around climate change - hopefully compelling governments and corporations alike to implement solutions to solve this imminent problem. Having launched just last year, you can rest assured that this will not be the last EARTH NIGHT and that DJS4CA are going to keep fighting the good fight until this battle is won!

Given how many re-edit releases he's had over the last few years, you have to wonder whether Rayko will soon run out of fresh scalpel material. Thankfully, he's not reached the 'barrel-scraping' stage, as this breezy two-tracker proves. "Enjoy Your Life" is the epitome of summery disco-soul, all shuffling beats, addictive vocals, darting strings and wiggly funk guitars; it's the sort of thing that should be booming out of a boat party soundsystem somewhere in the Adriatic. "Emotion", meanwhile, sees Rayki return to his love of electrofunk drums, turning a synth bass-laden disco jam into a touchy-feely instrumental delight.
