‘Global Sounds’ is a unique collection of tracks that connects artists from around the world. With collaboration, experimentation and mixing tempos all at the heart of albums idea, the result is a multi-genre compilation LP; spanning jazz, broken beat and electronic.

The Global Sounds project is an exciting step forward for Boomerang, featuring some excellent artists such as MOBO award nominee Yazmin Lacey, multi-award winning, king of jazz Sir Cleveland Watkiss (MBE), Steam Down and Rudimental affiliated vocalist Afronaut Zu, broken beat pioneer Mark de Clive-Lowe, electronic wizard Steve Spacek, Wah Wah 45s & Albert Favourites head honcho Scrimshire, Afriquoi’s lead singer André Espeut, and a remix of London Afrobeat Collectives ‘Power to the Women’ by Gottwood / Houghton residents Krywald & Farrer. There are also contributions from exciting up and coming artists Bryony Jarman-Pinto, Footshooter, Duke Hugh, Burland & K.O.G.

NOMADA WHITE Pt. V is a six track Split EP, where SofaTalk & Last Nubian deliver three originals tracks each. On the A side; SofaTalk will blow our minds with three broken beats and jazz infused masterpieces where he joined forces with Singer INBAL and keyboardist Veezo. On the B Side; Last Nubian makes his return to the label with three impresive soulful deep cuts alongside Dougan on B1 Farewell Boogie and Sweet Fruity Brunch on B3 Brown Be My Caller.

'Bringing The Old School Back EP' is a tribute to classic house.
With jazz instrumentation, and elements that resemble the musical group format (solos, phrases with responses, etc), Felipe Gordon conceived this release with the idea of being at the height of Groovin reissues, that goes from genre architects like Blaze, or Chicago pillars like Glenn Underground.
Drums and rhythmical phrases maintain dancing intention, while Jazz vibes play on top, the combination of elements that revealed in a certain era the musical potential of house, now created through the lens of a new generation prodigious producer.

Taken from 'Still Flute', the long awaited follow up to Tenderlonious' acclaimed 'On Flute' album, "Song For My Mother" is the perfect fusion of Ed Cawthorne's myriad musical sensibilities.

Ed's forthcoming 'Still Flute' album follows succession of releases over the last couple of years alone. From jazz fusion with his band Ruby Rushton, Hindustani classical with Pakistani quartet Jaubi, a tribute to British jazz legend Tubby Hayes, to space disco with Lorenzo Morressi, or deep house, electro funk and ambient electronica in his solo studio productions, Cawthorne has pushed at the boundaries, particularly his own, evolving, surprising and continuously captivating listeners.

"Song For My Mother" is one of four deep house jams sporting Ed's exuberant flute soloing. He tells us, "this is kinda the follow up to an old favourite of mine ‘song for my father’ that featured on my album ‘on flute’, so it was time I dedicated a tune to my mother. Clocking-in at just over nine minutes long, the tune builds with a multitude of percussive elements until it reaches a climatic flute solo before winding back down to atmospheric strings and a bubbly synth solo. Hopefully it’ll get some dance floors moving."

Due for release in October, 'Still Flute', is a very worthy addition to the Cawthorne's rapidly growing catalogue. Live flute and synth work sit comfortably over deep house, modern electro funk, spiritual ragas and ambient soundscapes.

“Good Hair Day” is the first single from Simon Mavin, the Grammy nominated keyboardist/co-producer and co-writer of the celebrated Australian band Haitus Kaiyote. Tapping fellow Aussie keyboard virtuoso and well known producer extraordinare Harvey Sutherland to remix the title track from the EP results in a big one for the dancefloor as Harvey takes the tempo up &  takes the track deeper into outer space with deep synth work, four on the floor drums, and a punchy bassline for late night sessions.

Signalling the arrival of a new transcendent machine soul duo and their forthcoming debut album Transmission One, the grooves of ‘Roller Skater 23’ reverberate into the atmosphere. Laced up, strapped in, this is a cosmic cruiser to soundtrack your ride on the interstellar airwaves.

Transmission Towers, operated by Mark Kyriacou and Eleanor Mante, brings together two artists who collaborated over 10 years ago and stayed friends ever since. This new project, which also marks the first release on Luke Una’s new É Soul Cultura label, orbits a synthesised world won over by soul. Giving a first taste of what’s to come on their forthcoming album, the lead single is an outer planetary excursion taking in off-kilter E soul, tripped-out astral punk and sonic Afrofuturism.

Machines melding with emotions, Mark programming the synthesisers and drum machines as Eleanor lays down the lyrical radiance. Galactic keys, hyperspace basslines and celestial strings, it’s the kind of otherworldly energy that transports your mind to another dimension.

Amplifying this first transmission as far as it can possibly reach, Crooked Man aka Parrot has been brought in on mix down duties. Combined with a heavyweight mastering by Joker, ‘Roller Skater 23’ is destined to command dancefloors and capture minds wherever it is received.
