Manchester’s finest soulstress, Private Joy, returns to Rhythm Section INTL with ‘Pure Love Remixed’ a follow up to the widely acclaimed debut EP “Desire”. 4 different versions, taking alternate directions from the same source, With Private Joy the guiding vision behind the record, her broad influences are on full display here: from electro to drum and bass to dub, label mates and close collaborators all throw their ante in the project.

Frequent collaborator Lenzman, the prestigious drum and bass producer, and consistently incredible remixer, lends his production quality with a scorchingly tight remix. It’s exactly what you expect from a trusted pair of hands. Surefire BANGER! In his own words: “I’ve had the pleasure of working with Private Joy on a number of projects for the last few years now and the talent is ridiculous!”.

Fellow Mancunian and Rhythm Section INTL affiliate Hidden Spheres, takes the Afrika Bambaataa vibe and merges it with upfront street soul energy, maintaining the Meduulla rap verse.

For the final 2 remixes, versatile reggae producer Mali-I joins forces with Jamaican-bred, Manchester-born vocal extraordinaire Fox: flipping the original into a late 70s reggae version + dub, with live drums and bass, tape delay and spring reverb - channelling U-Roy meets King Tubby.
