I love blending a mix of funky, wonky, sexy, and heavy sounds — nothing’s off-limits when it comes to getting down on the dance floor. I perform back-to-back sets with Schitzoph0nik under the name Sassyph0nik, and have also hosted events as Sassyph0nik/Ph0nik Sound. Over the past 6 years, I’ve had the pleasure of playing alongside amazing artists like Nokturnal Funk, Neo 1, Kermode, Ben Fox, XAM, Bryx, Woofax, DylPrickle, and Wublin. Twenty years ago I started recording songs using a cheap voice memo microphone that connected to a IBM computer via a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The software I used was the pre-installed program Sound Recorder. 
I’m not sure the songs have gotten much better but I have started using better tools. 
All percussions are Apple Drum Loops.

Dan discovered his love for music early on, first finding his groove at house parties before stepping up to local venues. Influenced by House, Electro, Breaks, Hip-Hop and Rock, his sound blends big bass lines, melodic breaks and soulful vocals into a style that’s uniquely his own.
With nearly two decades behind the decks, Dan brings seamless energy, deep grooves and moments that move both, the heart and body. Taking his passion for DJing to the next level in 2024 he launched Just Right DJ Service, a Premium Wedding & Event DJ Company based on Vancouver Island.

ill Lyrics has been making hip hop music for over 15 years and put out more than 5 albums with great success! 

ill Lyrics has performed on stage all over Vancouver island with many other hip hop artists who are an important part of the underground west coast hip hop scene such as (Most importantly) The Champions AkA the island all Stars! Sweatshop Union, Homegrown crew, Fatty Down, Royal T (RiP),
Emotionz, and many more. 

In his early years of rap music he started on Gabriola Island while in elementary school with breakdancing.
Through high school @NDSS he got into the breakdancing scene and frequented hip hop freestyle cyphers, an integral part of the hip hop culture.
But then ill Lyrics went to a house party on Gabriola and met JB1 whom taught him how to freestyle on the microphone! It all clicked after that! 

Years into the making of his music career ill Lyrics started a hip hop group called “The Beat Shiners”
Which included artists, Billy Suede, EMC, Burg, Jesse James, and  JD the Architect!
After years of performing shows and putting out mixtapes with the group, ill Lyrics started his solo career. With much success he produced and released multiple albums and performed a countless amount of shows.

Around 2010 ill Lyrics started Djing on vinyl where he would frequently play at house parties,Clubs and Pubs, raves and just about anywhere he could play music he loves for others.

Today ill Lyrics still Dj’s and produces hip hop music including beat production while running his own construction business. He is a great father, uncle, brother, son and friend to all of his loved ones.
