Dance TV is proud to present DJ MIX #581 with the multitalented DJ, producer and musician - Argenis Brito. Highly valued and recognised for his solo performances as well as collaborations such as Mambotour, Senor Coconut or Los Refrescos, the Berlin based Venezuelan artist takes us on a one hour trip packed with original & mostly unreleased tracks and remixes given to him by his long time friend and colleague - the legendary Ricardo Villalobos. 
Many years of true friendship based on mutual respect and admiration of each others talent and great tracks shared between the artists have led to Argenis sitting on a collection of really spectacular works of Ricardo. The idea of recording an exclusive mix consisting of the deep and moody, slightly twisted, yet extremely playful, soulful minimal compositions of the Chilean maestro came up recently and it is without doubt one for the books! On repeat here at the Dance TV office!

Caracas, early 1980s. A radio flickers on and crackles the introduction to John Paul Young's "Love is in the Air". For one boy, the moment marks the beginning of a life-long love affair with music. 

The pages on a wall calendar fly off in quick succession as the young man, a one Argenis Brito, delves into the world of performance. We see him pick up a bass guitar, adjust a microphone to capture his voice and suit up to front band after phenomenally successful band. But it's at the tail end of this formation, leading up to the turn of the century, that we witness Brito finally come into his own.

Latin, hot-blooded and with decidedly tropical tendencies, our protagonist tries his hand at the bleeps and blops upon which club culture is built—thus becoming a key figure in the cross-pollination between techno music and Latin rhythms. A new underground sound is born, with Brito at the helm. Think Mambotur, Señor Coconut, Los Refrescos (with Ruta 5's Dandy Jack) and many other rum-fueled collaborations held within the confines of slick studios. These are our main character's playgrounds.

Those playgrounds have long since extended beyond the recording sessions and into some of the world's greatest DJ booths—from Europe to Asia and all of the Americas. Our storied musician and entertainer considers himself on a never-ending quest to learn and delight in equal parts. Which means this story never ends, but is destined always "to be continued..."

These days, Argenis Brito's most impressive musical experiences don't often include radios. But you can bet that when the Venezuelan native is behind a booth working his magic, nobody can deny that love is in the air.

Ahead of his appearance at the upcoming OGE x Pellegrino showcase at E1 (London), established UK artists TIJN returns to our mix series after four years, bringing plenty of fresh grooves to the table. This mix, recorded at the infamous fabric in London, is an extract from his newest live set to which Martijn has worked nonstop over the years, continuously upping the game to meet excellent underground levels. His sound fuses the modern minima wave with more robust UK tech house sounds, all together into a charming and enjoyable ride. ◉◉ Adrianho is a revered creator among the new generation romanian producers. Like many others, Adrianho's journey is fuelled with desire and a passion to express his feelings and emotions through his music, a journey which he embarked on back in 2003, having played all over the world since, from Moscow to Mexico, his passion for electronic music shines more than 20 years later. Born and raised in Romania, his fascination for sound paved a natural path towards his musical development and discovery and initially led him to play as a DJ in many countries around Europe. The broad variety of musical influences that characterise his background are translated into an eclectic spectrum of sonic vibrations, with his electrifying energy and fearless drive, welcomely perceived and loved by the dancefloor. 

Despite his recognised focus over the years being primarily minimal, his seamless dexterity behind the decks together with his knowledge and extensive understanding of music across a range of genres, deliver infinitely eclectic journeys through his sets, whether is's microhouse, deep-house or experimenting with a playful fusion of tech house and classic house, he always delivers, raising the vibrations every time. Recent years have seen Adrianho taking things to another level, amongst becoming part of the globally respected Tzinah family group, he also created his own platform, teaming up with his close friend Daylomar, who shares the same immesurable passion for house music, together launching Hibit Records, with the intention to create a platform from which to release their music, and of course, that of new and emerging talented artists, on vinyl only. The label to this day presents consistently stunning works representing pristinely their own individual style, and features an impressive list of renowned artist remix duties including Vern, Djosh, Arapu, Vid and more. 

Adrianho has also celebrated releases on a vast collective of impressive labels in addition to many of his own impressions on his Hibit Records/Hibit Black Outfit, including releases on Tzinah R	ecords, Cyclic Records, Abartik, Honne Music and more. After many years releasing an array of celebrated works, Adrianho continues to release on many respected labels with the same passion and fire he began with, with the perpetual drive to make people vibe with his vision and sound. This immensely gifted artist, despite his astonishingly calm nature and waro character, certainly holds and indestructible fire and magnetic energy for his art, it is this vibrance that is continously and genuinely transmitted through his work, both behind the decks, and behind the music.
