Brian Cobb is an active composer, performer, and music educator who resides in Seattle, WA.  Brian's diverse composition catalogue includes music for voice, wind ensemble, orchestra, dance, film, electronic media, and numerous chamber settings (most recently a work for viola da gamba and harpsichord, ...so simple a beginning... ). Brian's works include an award-winning score for Bezango, WA (2015, Campfire Songs (for two voices and mixed ensemble) a theatrical song cycle set during the American Frontier era, sCatterEd (for solo flute) an interdisciplinary work that fuses music/theatre/kinesics, and the evolution-influenced in far country (for alto/soprano saxophone & piano) commissioned by saxophone virtuoso Dr. Chien-Kwan Lin.  Brian’s music has been published by Ludwin Music Co and has received awards and grants from ASCAP, the University of Washington, and Jack Straw Artist's Assistant Program.  He has studied composition with Klaas de Vries, Salvatore Macchia, John Bavicchi, Diane Thome, Dennis Leclaire, Juan Pampin, and Robert HP Platz.  Brian's music has been performed throughout the United States and Western Europe.
 
Cobb has received music degrees from the University of Washington (DMA), University of Massachusetts (MM), and Berklee College of Music (BM). Brian is a Present Sounds Records recording artist and is a past member of the Tom Baker Quartet, the William O. Smith Trio, and Crosstalk and Concert Imaginaire. Over the years Brian has performed with George Garzone, Bob Moses, Max Vax, Ron Bosse, Jeff Galindo, Aaron Goldberg, Tom Baker, and Matana Roberts.  His debut composition CD, Campfire Songs, was released in 2011 on Present Sounds Records.  Brian is currently on faculty at Bellevue College where he teaches music composition, music theory & music history. 

Asma Ghanem is a Palestinian visual artist & experimental musician, born in Damascus-Syria(1991). She has a B.A. from The International Academy of Arts-Palestine & M.A. degree in Audio-Visual Arts from ISDAT(École supérieure des beaux-arts de Toulouse)in France. Asma has participated in exhibitions, residencies and workshops in Italy, Germany, France, Austria, USA, Lebanon, UAE, Norway, Jordan and Palestine and was awarded the 3rd prize in the YAYA (The Young Artist Award- The Hassan Hourani Award, 2016)for her experimental music project (Homeland is…). She was also awarded a special mention in the Palest’in & out Festival in Paris in 2015 for her Photography project. Asma participated as a Fellow in OneBeat 2017 global music exchange, a U.S. State Department initiative managed by Bang on a Can’s Found Sound Nation that each year brings outstanding individual musicians from around the world to the U.S. for four weeks of collaborative creation, performance, and engagement with communities.

Oslo Rite creates music inspired by the atmospheric music produced through the European-based record company, ECM Records.  Founded by (composer/guitarist) Joe La Creta & (composer/bassist) Brian Cobb, Oslo Rite provides an engaging listening experience that is influenced by European & American jazz, stylistically open improvisation, and shaded with the sounds of Americana.  Oslo Rite is, at its center, a guitar bass duo that expands or contracts depending on the parameters set forth in the music.  Like the earth, we embrace the evolving nature of all that surrounds us, especially musical expression.
