Love everything about this EP. The sonic aesthetics are fantastic.

I still so much love this last 1 minute especially. This is the part when everything comes through. Now I know this continuous pad is doing it, it was a perfect choice.

"Decompression" is the sound of Glasgow artist Fraser Rowan starting anew. Previously releasing spaced out downtempo experimental soundscapes under the Ly Tumnus alias, this new venture as, Ty Lumnus, sees him turn up the tempo whilst keeping that experimental and dynamic edge.

A four track offering that stretches across the genre divide. Dusky tonal experiments, palpitating bass, analogue outbursts and sophisticated rhythms.

It's constructed expertly with spiraling electronics that mingle with sonic decay to create a cosmic passage of varied textures and frequencies for the listener. Sit back, fire up the volume and ride the sound waves.

The return of the Lying Cat brings both a continuation and evolution of the sounds that were showcased on the evasive felines debut EP back in 2018. That warm and grainy fuzzy feeling remains embedded in the atmosphere, as does the curious nostalgic charm that each arrangement seems to possess. 

The track structures are still unorthodox but this time they come supplemented with more depth, tone and character. There is a huge array of textures throughout 'Second Life' that are complimented by fractured patterns, moments of melodic bliss and electronic chaos that are all topped off with an exceptional aura of mystery.

After a series of outstanding EPs and compilation contributions on Bricolage we felt that it was about time to invite No Arrival to go big and provide us with a full length album.

The mysterious Glasgow native has not disappointed with "Converse".

It's an open plan world of disjointed and cerebral electronics. A strange and endearing world of stuttering rhythmic patterns, wispy layers, fractal backdrops and impeccable sound design. Akin to being lost in a dream.

The music dissolves and drifts between different dimensions all the while being carried further down the rabbit hole by the splicing of various skewered guitars, samples and buzzing bass terrains. The time and effort that's went into the careful building process of each individual track is more than evident and creates a dazzling collection of finely carved complex and organic landscapes.

As 'No Arrival' himself says "It reflects my state of being during these strange times. All the tracks do have specific and general meanings to me, but hopefully anyone else listening will find their own meanings - emotional resonance."

There you have it, build your own adventure. Let "Converse" be your soundtrack.
