'As the plague gave rise to an unprecedented surge in technologies relating to surveillance capitalism, we found our pocket of resistance in a precarious position. With our expeditions along the River Styx no longer offering viable gathering sites, we turned our attention to the possibility of entering one of the sprawling web of underground lairs hidden across the city. 

A chance meeting in which two societies became one, occurred on a winter night in the shadows of a Metropolitan Police breeding ground. A plot was made for us to enter the doorway to the The Dungeon of Polymorpheus Pan and thus The Judgement Hall X Chronic Illness allegiance was formed across three legendary events.'

‘Chronic Illness sewage hadn't ever ceased to operate during Covid lockdowns of London. After a series of educational bdsm screenings orchestrated as immersive video installations produced throughout 2020 at the Dungeons of Polymorphous Pan, our performers decided to open the space for an unholy marriage with the lunatic cult congregating around the The Judgement Hall post-industrial music platform. During the first half of 2021 Chronic Illness involved about a hundred of carefully selected followers of The Judgement Hall in a trilogy of performances, conceptualized as theatre of plague. Each of three acts presented a different take on the theme directed by Aliceex & Fung Neo - each act respectively celebrated with 12+ hours of subterranean soundscapes composed by the The Judgement Hall residents.

'Plague Play Plague' referenced the prohibition of theatre during London Black Death through ritualistic procession informed by Artaudian obsession with contagion as theatrical formula. Continuing the risky play, 'Game of Plague' engaged with a simulation of pandemic, visualized through computer game interface projected onto performers' bodies and intersected by lines of infectious conspiracy which repeated gestural vectors from Zulawski's lice cinema. Finally, 'Balcony' returned to the sadomasochism of judgement and punishment by staging a scene from Genet's play of fetishistic coping mechanisms in reaction to the crisis of humanity and social unrest. Thus, The Judgement Hall X Chronic Illness formed a lockdown triad of events, bonding the collaboration by the original live score for Chronic Illness performances by Trojanovskx, transformed into EP on The Judgement Hall Records coming out now.’

Gamelan and capoeira in dub. The collective behind this doesn’t like to talk much but their music is beautifully conversational. De Leon is the most organic and percussive of their shifting identities, developed on their Aught project in small-run, clear-shell cassette tape releases over the last few years.

They've appreciated a cult interest for their takes on outernational rhythm, field recording, and the tension and relief on the knife-edge of dance music; all delivered with an impressive commitment to anonymity and clarity of vision through cut-and-dried aesthetic minimalism.

These six pieces of music seem formed from wood, metal, air. Dramatic, balletic flourishes and tightly woven interlocking patterns are embedded in slowly changing and "live" atmospheres. The shadow of a hand over the mixing desk makes gradual adjustments to alter the pressure and dimension of the space.

A number of tracks first appeared on De Leon's set for Blowing Up The Workshop in February 2016.

Diptera takes a near electro-acoustic approach to the DNA, texture and pressure of UK Garage with a debut release on Mana comprised of four tracks. Obsessively written over four years and teeming with material detail.

The duo's musical collaboration operates like a relay. Initial tracks made by Activist DJ — short sharp affairs focused on swung drums and darkside — are passed on to Wesley to be broken apart, tinkered with, and slowly refigured into more anxious and impressionistic musical forms, etched with intricacies and mixed fidelity. The result is a distinctive and resourceful excavation of hardcore at its most agile.

A fly on the wall may face some adversity, so if you imagine a human hand in basic swatting motion, maybe you will also couple the image with an evasive manoeuvre of some sort; usually there is a moment of hesitation where the human is unsure whether their aim was true. "Did I catch it?"

The Ministry of Defence in the UK has developed mind control methods using a sonic weapon.  The Department of Science Technology lab influence thoughts and control dreams of their adversaries.  The sound waves infiltrate the brain to disrupt normal thought patterns and lead the victim to execute actions decided by the government.

My question is, if you were dealing with a government that developed mind control and used this technology to engineer behavior in a subject, would you not disclose this openly to the public to save the millions of innocent lives that are at stake? Aural mind control is known to be effective for espionage campaigns against ally and adversarial states.  The sound waves operate at a frequency which uses alpha and gamma waves.  Espionage operations using speakers and audio are known to have existed since the 1980s.

Voice impersonation has become a technology of surveillance and cybercrime. There are many video files on YouTube of apparent online video tutorials in regards to voice synthesis. Other software, such as smsMachine have been used to create new voices and sound alike.

These people were no expert in voice synthesis. But if you watched the video of them saying “hey”, you could hear what sounded like them saying “hey”. Their voice quality wasn’t perfect.

Recorded in their home studio during a drizzly autumnal evening, the mix is an amalgam of poetic vibrations, avant-garde storytelling and eccentric experimentation imbued with the essence of their upcoming album Tayiō ✨🔮✨

Utterings are buried within and emerging from vivid dreamscapes painted in sound, at the same time luminous and shadowy. Worlds are formed as textures becoming harmonies with temporalities sliced by fluttering punctuations, tangibly present and moving close and closer...

Podcast Series 08 | Vādin

Brood is the sound worship duo formed by Jose Macabra and Sammie Joplin (Mothax). 
Brood started its journey when they met at London College of Communication whilst both were studying B.A. Sound Arts and Design. 
It is a noise/industrial music project that explores the subconscious and hypnotic trance state in sound form. Hypnagogic exploration draws themes from innate contradiction within the worlds society expressed through a mix of soundscapes and improvised sonics. The band started in 2008 when they decided to unite forces to create a collaborative improvisation group that would generate a new concept in music and performing arts, mixing old and new techniques to deliver a melodramatic and aggressive journey that would immerse the public in an unforgettable experience.
Their first single “Filth Me Tonite” and first album “Your Mother” are now available.
