Walking on our dreams

The sun is high 
I feel it will burn my skin 
but he gives flowers 
when mixed with water 

this world is beautiful 
of colors of notes and words
but we play to be afraid 
to ruin everything like idiots

We all want a better world 
from the pole to the equator 
no more promises in the air 
of speech that we know by heart
we all dream of one elsewhere 
from a part of happiness

Marcher sur nos rêves (translated)

A bit of 60s/70s inspired Gothic Horror. Imagine Mary Shelley and the gang, stoned out of their skulls, alternately telling and writing horror stories in a dark, haunted house by Lake Geneva. It is, of course, a dark and stormy night and there are strange things afoot. The Daffodils won't leave them alone, and there is something in the woodshed. Ken Russell is directing them.

All made with Arturia VST's, mainly the B3, Vocoder, Mellotron, CMI, Clavinet, Mini and Pigments. Mastered with Ozone, but pushed to the limit to give some extra retro.

Another simple song somewhere between pop and country. I wanted it to sound like something recorded in 1965, when I was two years old and was entranced by the music I heard on the radio, TV, or record player.

And now this is the concluding track, "Stay Strong", in the concept album "Again" (2025), which I am completing today. I composed it spontaneously, improvising on my Akai MPK mini keyboard connected to Logic Pro, in the warm evening of 12 July 2025 in Reading in my garden, thinking as well of my forthcoming then travel to visit my mother in Sofia. I arranged, recorded and mixed the track the same evening. It was released here on SoundCloud in the early evening (in Europe) on 31 July 2025 (from Sofia). The album as a whole will be released in the next half an hour or so.

The artwork cover for the album and all tracks in it uses a photo of mine of 1 June 2024 (shot in Sofia: the typical pattern of sidewalks there) I cropped and annotated in Mac OS Preview on 2 June 2024 and again on 15 February 2025 (to change the year of the - expected - album release from 2024 to 2025).

I'm primarily a guitar player but I'll try to make music with anything you throw at me. When left to my own devices I enjoy recording minimalist ambient pieces and textural soundscapes.
