I'm happy to present soon my new album "Soul Pulse". I started a new job this month, so I'm a bit slow to finish the mix. So here it is a very direct track I just did between yesterday (electronic) and today (bowls), trying to capture the essence of this album. Mainly I played with singing bowls and other meditative instruments like tongue drums, custom percussions mixed with electronic. I was inspired by this kind of electro/techno, with repetitive beats, trying to express the link between body and soul, very organic, a kind of spirituality all pumping by blood, and how everything is connected. And the power of will. It's all about being alive. This is how I would describe this bunch of tracks - and this quick track could be an introduction.

The Eclectic Collective -- composition
 
This song started with JJ during one of his late Saturday night composition sessions, where he came up with the idea on his synth. He laid down some great organ and electric piano for the rest of us to play with. Ken was first up with his lively, raucous drums. He and I did our back and forth with the rhythm section until it was solid, though. Then Stephen laid in his dirty, rawkin' rhythm guitar to give it an extra foundation. Finally, Tez put the icing on the cake with his monster soloing throughout. 
  Of course, every great song needs a great producer. In this case, Tez did the honors in a very expert manner. We wanted Stephen (Texmex Shaman) on this, too, of course, but he is just now getting settled into his new abode, and was in flux while we were making this one. He'll be back with The Eclectic Collective next week, though. 
  This is an example of Eclectic Collective teamwork. It came together relatively quickly, which means we were all having fun doing it. We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed creating it.

I am glad to finally present my new album SOUL PULSE. It contains 12 original tracks + 3 bonus. I hope you will enjoy this new musical trip. This time, I worked with singing bowls, tongue drums, custom percussions and electronics. This track is the first one, it is based on a tongue drums improvisation and then I added some electronics. I'm primarily a guitar player but I'll try to make music with anything you throw at me. When left to my own devices I enjoy recording minimalist ambient pieces and textural soundscapes. My principal sound source for these efforts is manipulated guitar but I often include electronics and organic sources. I enjoy working on collaborations with other musicians.
