For Pump House's latest InHouse Project we are running a series of a fun and  interactive workshops for families to creatively explore listening, sound, objects and place.
You can drop in to the gallery’s Project Space to discover a landscape made from found objects and sculptures waiting to be tapped, rattled and played by visitors. Explore the sonic properties, voice and identity of the objects on display and use them to create your own soundscape. Experience sound in a fresh way after listening to a guided sound walk of the park and creating your own musical score using the sounds of the park.

Cathy Lane is a composer, sound artist and academic. Some of her  work uses spoken word, field recordings and archive material to explore aspects of our listening relationship with each other and the multiverse.

Buckner Building (Naomi Graham and Fritha Jenkins) lead your ears to places not always easily located. Reinterpretations of old english carols, north african folksongs and original compositions are combined with prepared sounds, live improvisation and looping on violin, recorders, english bagpipes and voice. Buckner Building hosted ‘ Tremulous’ -  an evening of experimental art and music at the Asylum Chapel in Peckham. They have performed at the Poetry Cafe, Selfridges, The Nest Collective open mic and on Resonance FM.

I love playing the recorder in beautiful and diverse acoustic environments, with or without an audience. I like to explore the subtle relationships between body, soul, breath, instrument, sound, silence and space.
