I was kindly invited to play a small set at the first edition of the cosy "Inner Light" festival in Saalfeld (https://innerlightfestival.de/), resulting in a little more than two hours of funky tunes, soulful house and a few surprises I usually don't play. Have fun with the set! 💚

Live at Innerlight Festival 2024

Recently I was kindly invited back to Leipzig’s finest club hidden treasure to warm-up the basement for my kind friends of @stolenmoneyposse as part of a very special evening, marking the launch of the 4th edition of "Maybe A Magazine" (https://www.instagram.com/maybeamagazine).

That set turned out to be longer than expected - ending up being 3 ½ hours long. It starts in in quite chilled and obscure krauty/ new rave territory, before it slowly moves towards disco/ 80s and finally some true house music pleasures. It ends with a Roger Sanchez classic and a bit of the @drunkenstein-one set that followed after me. 

Loving the build-up character of this one and the whole vibe (which is more important than track transitions for me as you will notice). Enjoy that sweet and smooth ride, fellow funky friends.

A little live spontaneous DJ set I did for a friend's birthday last week. Such a pleasure playing in the cosy KikiSol bar in my Berlin home district Wedding. Originally I was aiming for a more disco approach but the crowd was in a different mood, so I adapted to that situation by speeding things up. Enjoy 💜

PART I - High energy into the night

There is this place which operates as a glitch of the systemic reality. A temporary autonomous zone which eludes the social rules and norms for a moment, a crack in time in space which gives us a glimpse of what also can be there. It does so because it’s temporary and therefore sinks deep into to our hearts and colours imagination of possible worlds. It’s a situational laboratory and shouldn’t be confused with „the“ solution to systemic reality and therefore romanticized. Its strength lies in the vulnerability to its own fallibility and the ever going trial and error, as an organic growth and transformational process. 
And then there is the glitch in the glitch. A beloved space by many and at the same time known by few, who intuitively and courageously are on a constant search for those cracks in time and space. 
On the first night of Karla Kutter Stage of Fusion Festival 2025 the space generously was given to an idea of DJ performance which itself is a crack in time & space. 

The (friend of the stage) & friends slot. After last years amazing Etkin & friends slot which started this series this year 
Sui & friends filled the space from late night hours till the morning. This concept seeks to deconstruct common ideas of DJ-performance & performance-pressure and is focussed on the celebration of friendship and the shared love and dedication for music and artistic expressions through sound. 

As chaos never died and we swim through chaos, but together. 

The friends which lovingly and warmly brought their magic to Karla Kutter and created this journey through various ideas of bass music, are dk, Spoonman Dj & UMAIR. 

dk is deeply interested and therefore connected to the environments of living beings and their expressions beyond human perception. As she exposes these complex structures in her artistic approach she constantly webbed unknown, complex yet thriving sounds into this sound journey. @dianavommond

dj spoonman full of musical and human care not only knows how to play a ballad with two wooden spoons but also how to keep a flow going in the most surprisingly sounding ways. @spoonmandj

UMAIR as the first arthouse filmmaker from Karachi, Pakistan and incredible soul of human knows how to tell a story in multidimensional ways in image and sound. @uma1rbilal

Had the pleasure of playing a set at the cosy @praeriefestival this weekend - resulting in an hour of uplifting disco and house music sweetness. Thanks for everybody who danced along and for the opportunity to play (and party) on this very sweet event.

Oh what a day! Sooo grateful for my dear friend Marla for the invite, to Italo Fundamentalo for accepting the takeover, and for the beautiful team at Praerie for making this day so special.

It was my "first big" festival, and having worked there for a couple of years, it was very emotional to see my former colleagues and friends still putting up a gem of a fiesta 🔥

For the set: I fucked up from the start 🤣 Pressing the end-of-the-song cue point of the first track, I had then 30 secs to make my first transition of the set .. self-sabotage final level - oh the sweat 🥵

200 minutes of real dance!!!! (div. in 2 sets) 3.40 pm till 7 pm at my fav floor BUK CORNER in the magical forest Garbicz!!! *The beginning was not recorded. 
Some dropped records got them in the best stores in Berlin just the week before I headed to Poland. 
A light, acid-bassy trip! Spending an afternoon in togetherness since it did not rain *as predicted. 
I am so grateful to my Garbicz family, my crew, and my floor (Lichtung) for being part of this!
