Our guests will be Low Velocity Soundsystem aka Gregor, who is part of the infamous Connwax Crew from Leipzig and John Horton, who runs Half True Records. Genre boundaries are not familiar to the synthesizer enthusiast Alexander Dorn, who is highly inspired by 90’s Hip-Hop culture which led him through various musical phases, enjoying Classic Electro, Body Music, Chicago House, Detroit Techno or New Wave.

Neptunian Influence, Forty-Seven | Featuring @nukeprophit

The Los Angeles-based Nuklear Prophet has been DJing since 1992 and has participated in many DJ battles and won a few titles including: 1998 Powertools Mix show champ; 1999-2001 World Records Champ; 2006 Sam Ash Champ; 2013 Astro Across the Fader Dj Contest Champ; 2016 Red Bull Threestyle Finalist. He has been heavily into breakbeat techno, gabber and electro for many years. 

He's preparing to release an album titled 'Nuklear Prophet - Prophecies 11:21,' which will be on @utraxqdm from Utrecht, Holland. The album will feature more than fifteen Nuklear Prophet tracks, two of which are in this mix, "Nuklear Prophet" and "808 Plague." The LP should be dropping in late October and will be on vinyl, cassette and cd formats. 

Currently, Nuklear Prophet is concentrating on production but open to bookings!

Besides playing the keys in the Groove-Jazz band „exit denied“ he impressed us with one of his first club appearances, showcasing his love for funk and disco music played straight from vinyl. Watch out for this youngster taking over Leipzig booths in the future.

The Sheffield label's identifiable sound, along with its stark and beautiful visual design has ensured that CPU has confirmed its place in the already rich musical history of the Steel City.  

The label forges forward into ever new, futuristic, sonic territories whilst continuing to pay tribute to the influences of the past.  This is most evident in Smith's own meticulous studio rebuilds of Detromental's "Move" and "Rewind" tracks, highly sought after bleep & bass techno classics from the early nineties.  From Neil Landstrum to Annie Hall and DMX Krew to Jensen Interceptor the label's roster of artists demonstrates Smith's incredible A&R abilities and explains just why the label has become so influential.

Here CPSmith drops a mix that is full of those recognisable CPU sounds and is packed full of energy, showing that Smith is as comfortable on the turntables as he is in the studio...

After moving to Leipzig he quickly fell for the striving music scene and was looking for a way to take part in it. Since Leipzig hadn't any radio focusing on underground music the format of Callshop Radio seemed to be a perfect fit. 4Never is organizing and curating Callshop Radio Leipzig.

Sevensol is one true original of Leipzigs music scene. Together with Map.Ache and Bender he is owning KANN Label since 11 years already. This year they published their 41st release! Some years ago they even had their own record store in the south of Leipzig. But having to invest so much into new records every week wasn’t the real deal, so they focused on rather playing and releasing records. Sevensol in combination with Map.Ache is forming the DJ Team Manamana as which they are part of the residents of Nachtdigital festival, which took place for 22 consecutive years in Saxonias Olganitz.

Starting our intergalactic journey this year with Leipzigs finest Dj Detox aka Gnista, not only resident at Mjut but also night manager and part of the orga  team behind the club. Born in the Osterzgebirge, Dresden raised and now based in Leipzig he is providing us with various releases on labels such as R.A.N.D, Uncanny Valley, F.T.P, Mechatronica & Brokn Toys, to name a few. He first made contact with making music by playing guitar in several small band projects, from there he started to collect dubstep vinyls and later figured out how to produce his own beats with Ableton. Since 2011 he has been inspired and teached a lot by Steve Kasper aka Steve.e and the Sub Sickness Crew from Dresden. Now his unique style ranges from electro breakbeats over to uk garage and jungle sounds all the way to classic house. We are very happy to kick off the year with this machine warrior on january 7th, 6pm CET!

For our next episode we invited Ambient-Dadaists Technik AG. With their hybrid live-set between turntablism and synthesizing these two sound designers creat dynamic soundscapes with floating textures and sharp contrasts. Besides drones and beats you will also recognise obscure voice samples and field recordings, impulsively arranged, somewhere between techno and musique concrète.
This one is going to be special in many ways: we are broadcasting live from the Eckladen location on Karl-Heine-Straße with a special light and video installment by trq_billy, on february 4th, 6pm CET.
