Loving these tracks! I grew up in the rainforest of NE NSW (Nightcap National Park), but having been living in Toronto for years now... it's so nice to play this stuff while I'm working/studying. It's like I'm home.

I love hearing these sounds from the southern spring when it's November in Canada!

I want to go to Australia and hear this LIVE!  It is very remniscent but more highly layered than the Southern Appalachian rainy spring period

What is this loud child-like cry in the distance?  What bird? 

Recorded late morning in the Mary Cairncross reserve in Queensland, Australia.
Sub-tropical rainforest, the main bird call is a Golden Whistler, also the Wompoo fruit dove & green catbird (sounds like a child calling out) can be heard. It was fairly wind in canopy, so leaves and seedpods can be heard dropping occasionally.

I think that as we grow & and fall into the repetition of work & routine our perception of the world vignettes and we loose our sense of wonder and amazement- at least, that's my experience.
Recording the sounds around me forces me to listen to my world objectively which I find reveals some of the inherent beauty in life.
