From Caterina Barbieri's debut album Vertical (Important Records/Cassauna, 8 October 2014) composed for Buchla modular synthesizer and vocals.

This version of Undular is a stereo mix from the original 8 channel one.

Vertical is a meditation on primary waveforms and the polyrhythm of harmonics in synthetic sounds, stretching the boundaries between drone, minimalism and techno. Barbieri's minimalist focus arises from the exploration of the stratigraphic potential of voltage-controlled sequencers, in terms of polyrhythm and polyphony. Employing synthesis, psychoacoustics and repetition as key concepts, the italian composer stylizes the dancing of wave cycles in severe geometries of time and space.
All the tracks were played, recorded and produced in Stockholm, at EMS (Electroacoustic Music Studios) and KMH (Royal University of Music) in Summer 2013.

SHXCXCHCXSH – "Entering The S - Cloud"

Tonight I recorded the sound of thunder and rain and then started to play the flute on it. It's a Schreiber Selecta Flute, I'd played with a few years ago that was at my parents' house 🙂 I started to play on these sounds of nature, letting myself go as if the flute's melody became a prayer, an echo to this thunder. 

As it says in the Psalms, "The voice of the Lord is over the waters, the God of glory thunders, the Lord thunders over the mighty waters" (Psalm 29:3).

The beauty of nature's sounds, the gentle patter of rain, and the powerful rumble of thunder, creates a soothing ambiance that calms the soul. These natural symphonies invite us to turn our gaze towards the Creator, reminding us of His presence. Music, like the sounds of nature, becomes a vehicle of prayer, an appeal to God.

Hello friends! 
We have a gift from one of the most interesting artists of the contemporary Russian dub-techno scene, a surprise release from Heavenchord «Reshapes». 
The reason for the creation of this release was the tracks that are deeply settled in the soul of the author. 
Showing his vision for these tracks through musical experiments, music was continued in different electronic genres. However, while listening to «Reshapes» is felt deep the author's love for dub-techno sound, this is the whole Heavenchord. In the release there are a lot of prolonged, long tracks, this is the time when the author had to haunt his mind, switch to some moments of life to better convey what is happening inside him.
