DJOrchestra is a young musical project, new and innovative. it is a journey into the "Contemporary Electronic Music" and is an ambitious "trip" because it wants to merge and bring together the digital sound with analog instruments, strings and percussion.
Said he was ambitious but not impossible, through research, in fact, it succeeds and it manifests itself, it creates a dominant digital environment, in which the theme goes flying hypnotic on a counterpoint of interdependent voices, where effects, loops and synths are enriched with strength and color integrating with the acoustic frequencies, rock and beyond flavored.
DJOrchestra, conceived and directed by Master Salvatore Tranchini (Prof of Drums and jazz percussion), began as an experimental laboratory "multimedia - multidisciplinary".
Sponsored by the Conservatory of Music G. Martucci of Salerno, then it provides and it is split by its real nature, the active participation of the students.
The laboratory (Laborlab) has given and has fulfilled the goal of forming an orchestra ("TOTAL ELECTRONIC") modular (training type: 11 elements + director, it can be reduced until the DJ Set) and is preparing to release an album composed by Salvatore Tranchini and Riccardo Siracusano (arranger and sound engineer of the orchestra, performer live of synths and effects).
DJOrchestra gives birth to a live show with images, lighting, sets and choreography.

All DJOrchestra's LIVE are preceded by a DJset, performed 100% vinyl by Franco Virgilio, with a musical journey through four decades of history of electronic music and clubbing.
The music is the vibrant setting of our existence, the bond that can draw any instant past, good or bad, in our minds. 
A few notes are enough to try a forgotten pain ... try one more time the first orgasm, to feel the bliss of a sunset that was .. maybe .. waiting for the dawn that will be.
Music can make you relive the past or give you the impetus to write your future, and certainly help you better live the present.
I know .. the music has taught me to know .. to put together things of life as the notes of a symphony *. ... and then, through the vital effort of research, pursuing the perfect execution .. 
I’m still on the high seas but it is already a relief  just try to imagine that, no matter when, but here, near the horizon, there is something waiting for you .. a goal, a new unexpected departure ..
so ... follow the way that shows me the music, I like to compose from scratch and arrange my tracks ... I follow a ray of light ... until the light beam becomes dazzling! ... you know what I mean?
I like writing lyrics ... the music is the code to get to the heart .. but the text is the message to reach the head of your listeners ... so I try to support my message in the music, spanning all walks of life ..
We share, more or less, all the same anxieties, the same fears .. but facing them is that we can overcome them and drive them away from our soul. music can help us become a better person ... me has happened.

Steve Thorpe started mixing tunes at home when he was 18 and first started DJingin Manchesters bars and clubs in 1996. Playing an eclectic mix of broken beats. In 1997, Steve joined Manchester clubnight - Tangled and turned the upstairs chillout room of a house and trance night into the longest running breakbeat night in the UK...if not the world - Tangled Breaks. Running weekly, then twice monthly and then quarterly for over 15 years and then returning 3 times a year until it ended on Tangleds 21st Birthday in 2014. Steve has warmed up and played alongside all the best breaks DJs and producers in the UK. After Tangled stopped regular events in 2008 he started his own night - Carry On which after 14 months then changed into Lowdown and Dirty... which now after 6 was voted the best breaks clubnight in Manchester and the world as it has won the 'best small event' at the Breakspoll International awards for 3 years running and Lowdown won the coveted City Life 'best clubnight in Manchester' award for 2014. Lowdown has now come to an end but Steve has been DJing at various events and festivals around the UK and helping out with other clubnights, continuing producing mixes and live streams. Steve will also be bringing Tangled back one the UK is back to normal after Covid for a special one-off party!
