The People of the Clouds constitute a celestial and supra-celestial dimension. When Catitu Tayassu comes into contact with certain clouds, she transforms the frequencies of the lights into sounds, which can be perceived by human ears and assimilated by the cells of the body. These sounds must respect a very moderate volume to be heard and always through good headphones or earphones. My name is Katy'taya Catitu Tayassu and I designed the Tree Dance - ARBOReusement, which this Green Yoga is based on the sounds, languages and movements inspired by trees. For some years I have been in communication with the trees of the woods and those of the forests. In this soundscape I tell the different seasons of a tree called: Hamamelis. Its great capacity for mimicry and interaction with other elements: plants, minerals, animals, microscopic and ethereal is very touching and speaking to my animist ears.

Je m'appelle Katy'taya Catitu Tayassu et j'ai conçu la Danse des Arbres - ARBOReusement, dont cet Yoga Vert est basé sur les sons, les langages et les mouvements inspirés des arbres. Durant quelques années j'ai été en communication avec les arbres des bois et ces des forêts. Dans ce paysage sonore je raconte les différents saisons d'un arbre appelé: Hamamélis. Sa grande capacité de mimétisme et d'interaction avec d'autres éléments: végétaux, minéraux, animaux, microscopiques et éthérés est très touchante et parlante à mes oreilles animistes.

3rd artistic version Sound ritual by Katy'taya Catiu...
ALL LANDSCAPES, COSMOGONIES AND SOUND RITUALS created by Katy'taya Catitu Tayassu deserve to be heard with good quality headphones or earphones. This will allow you to feel the sound ripples and assimilate the sound lights present in all Katy'taya soundscapes. It is therefore a question here, as in the other "performative sound acts", of remaining calm, without moving and closing your eyes with your headphones or listening, so that the sound dance can travel through the cells, muscles, bones, tissues, blood, water and viscera inside the human body. With 15 drums and 70 sound performative acts (carefully created) between the sounds from the drums and the sounds from the voices created by Katy'taya, you will go through some chapters of human cosmogony. A cosmogony or transhumance that evokes certain passages or chapters of our history with animals, forests, minerals and other natural elements... After man's break with Nature (and his various cultural and linguistic inventions) you will also hear the complaints of the trees (cut without any awareness of the symbiosis between humans and non-humans). The cries of horses and the races of bison and horses... The cries of whales and dolphins... And the cries of tree trunks... The sounds linked to the movements of glaciers and tectonic plates... The sounds of rage unleashed in a storm... And all the other sounds all come from the skins of the drums and the voices of Katy'taya. All artistic creation is animist, because the art of anism is the primary art; an archaic and ancestral art. An art that has known how to cross cycles, periods and eras. The animist art of Katy'taya is based on the production (also) of echo effects, but without any linear reproduction of sounds. On the contrary, the sounds circulate and follow different trajectories, as in the movements of the fractals present in the leaves of the trees, in the trunks and roots. I thank my three companions: Ours Blanc, Ki'om'annaha and Cerf Volant; my three faithful drummers, during the recordings. Sound Ritual 01 November 2022, for the Official Opening of the Biennial Liverpool 2023. This ritual was possible thanks to the synergy created between 15 drums and the sound-lights of Katy'taya Catitu Tayassu. My gratitude also to Colette and Philippe for having lent their drums, so that I could achieve this sound alchemy, during my stay in the Jura.

Ainsi 15 paysages sonores ont été créés afin d’accompagner les sculptures de l’’artiste sud-africaine: Dineo Seshee Bopape.
