My dad died of throat cancer in 1993. The last time I saw him, just a few days before he passed away, we hugged, we cried, and I always had the feeling he wanted to say something to me but he could not. I am not sure this is it, but it is the inspiration of the song. I hope you enjoy it for what it is meant to be.
