Defected House

This track is ......… about perception, “the way in which something is regarded, understood, or interpreted”. In this case, related to how people perceive and / or interpret music in different ways.

I am starting more and more to believe that my music is about “perception”, especially because it is something that I honestly do not fully know what it is, besides something that enables the listeners to hear it and notice or become aware of something, through the senses. A sort of sensory experience where the “something” can be anything (to a certain extent).

Gentle textural soundscapes trace the quiet shift in season, evoking warmth, stillness, and the beauty of impermanence. A sonic reflection on the passage of time, memory, and the subtle charm of change.

Christoph Vogel (Ghostloop) about his album: “It’s a collection of nine ambient pieces — soundscapes shaped by personal moments and quiet shifts I experienced over the past year, many of them spent in nature.

I worked with field recordings I captured during that time, letting them carry traces of place and memory. While writing, I also began building my Eurorack modular system, slowly integrating its sounds into the tracks as they took shape.

'Almost Autumn' reflects a quiet cycle of the year — the slow transitions, inner stillness, and changing atmosphere that come with time passing”.

Christoph Vogel, known as Ghostloop (Germany), weaves immersive soundscapes shaped by the serene rhythms of nature. Drawing from the ambient textures of field recordings and grounding them with deep, fluid basslines, his compositions echo the quiet moods of Northern Germany and the Baltic Sea coast. Rooted in a deep sense of place, Ghostloop’s music invites listeners to pause, drift, and sink into gentle, emotive layers of sound.

Danish musician and producer Njordlyd is a creator of thoughtful and mellow musical landscapes, organic compositions and harmonies, combined with experimental beats and micro sounds - All shaped with help of analog synths, processed samples and effects. The best way to describe the very detailed and personal musical universe of Njordlyd is ambient and downtempo electronic music.

The second release from Njordlyd (Ghost Running) was released on the 17th of July. The cover for the single is based on a painting made by Mijke Anink, a local dutch artist from The Hauge.

Njordlyd’s musical inspiration comes from artists such as Future Sound of London, Björk, Burial, Brian Eno, Harold Budd, Massive Attack, Portishead, Biosphere and Trentemøller (amongst others).
