A new Chapter is upon us. ‘The Mirror: Reflected’ dazzles with four brilliant representations of Kieran Apter's original works released on Chapter 24 in early 2018.

Apter, a label regular hotly tipped for success as the head honcho and resident DJ of Edinburgh house and techno party ‘Tweak_’, is joined this time by four heavyweights who make a big impression.

Co-owner of Maeve, The Drifter is a DJ and producer of the highest order. He opens the book with an Edition of the title track which pairs bombast and dancefloor drive with a heavy dose of cosmic disco goodness.

The first to rework ‘Without’, Apter’s collaboration with Leon Power, is Hamburg’s very own Doctor Dru. The track is a masterclass in deep, propulsive and forward-thinking house music that makes full use of the haunting and evocative vocal of the original.

Next, ESP Institute, Futureboogie and Culprit artist and hero of Ibiza’s We Love… at Space, Ian Blevins presents a deep, contemplative and emotional meditation for the afterhours as his reimagination of the track.

Domenic Cappello closes the EP out. The legendary DJ and mainstay of Glasgow’s Sub Club recasts ‘Without’ through layered and interweaving arpeggios that are reminiscent of Larry Heard. The effect is highly compelling and hypnotic and a fitting end to the package.

Both deep and emotional, functional and meaningful, 'The Mirror: Reflected' EP presents four stories in sound from key players in the game that each cast a light on the power of dance music to move us.

Correspondant present the vinyl sampler for their 3rd label compilation. Following in the success of the previous two entries in the series, this latest edition provides a perfect snapshot of how the relatively young label has matured over three years, with contributions from a range of artists including big names (such as Roman Flügel and Chloe), close Correspondant family (like Man Power and Red Axes), and exciting new rising talent (including Bird of Paradise and Sigward).

With eight tracks, split over two records, Compilation 03 sees curator and label owner, Jennifer Cardini, displaying an even wider musical breadth than the previous two compilation incarnations, but still represents the undefinable yet unmistakable sound which truly marks out Correspondant as unique.

Correspondant Compilation 03 is due out via Correspondant on June 15. 


Man Power - Promising

After Silenzio and Robotique de l’Amour- in french, Vampiros Discos is Theremynt’s third Ep- an electronic journey in Portuguese-tribute to  Horror Brazilian Filmmaker  Ze do Caixao and all the vampires movies that have accompanied us as teenagers such as Dracula and the Likes. Somewhere between dirty house, krautrock and deviant techno, it is an uplifting track made for the dancefloor . The three remixes are following the track’s original path pushing it to its edges: Andrew Claristidge from Acid Washed has given an interesting version both deviant and cinematographic, the Club Bizarre duet is offering a more techno version  with obsessive bells while legendary techno producer David Carretta is immerging us into a new beat and rather technoish hypnotic tune. The result is a perfect DJ tool -worth trying on the dance floor in the middle of the night.

We decided to make a small pressing 12" for So will be now.... Some people wanted to have it on vinyl and we felt a bit sad only having the track in the LP. We decided to include the original LP version and a club revision we did together with Pional  (we mixed again but i'ts pretty similar to the original :p) that will be exlcusive for this vinyl. Comes in a nice gren vinyl, designed by our great friend Arnau Pi. It was mixed by Hannes Vieger in Berlin in Feb'13
